Palmolive soap sticks problem

Or - a radical suggestion I know - you could leave the stick intact as nature intended, and face lather with it.

That's the approach I take.

I tried microwaving one last week as an experiment, it stank, frothed and melted unevenly. So now you know.

In the winter I put the sticks in a sandwich bag and leave them on a radiator for a bit.

They soften to the consistency of hard plasticine and you can press them into a tub.

I suppose leaving them in the sun should have the same effect.

Less messy than grating.

That's my solution, 3 sticks cut up. Grated half a stick to fill in gaps. Charity shop for bowl with lid. All in cost of £2.00 inc soap.
