Closed Pass it on, the coldest soap on earth.

Posted today, sorry for the delay and have popped in a Caties Bubble sample to try out too.

Although I added a smidge of Arko to the bowl today too, the lather still lacks any real volume?

I found this to be the case too, slick but thin, probably due to the menthol levels. The real question is, did it make you cry?

It has arrived today. Thank you Whosthedaddy. I shaved tonight with my OSP as I was trying a new ATT S2 plate and wanted to use a soap I was familiar with. I will take a small sample of both and whoever is next on the list if you pm me your address I'll get it off to you Monday. Thanks again WTD and Nishy. I'll post my findings when I need a shave again but after the S2 tonight it could be next month ;)

How did you find the S2 Wayne?

Absolutely awesome Nishy. I'm getting the S2 plate asap mate. I've wasted my dough on the M plates I have. Nice but too mild. They should shift easily though and I shouldn't lose on them...Hopefully.

With the bamboo handle (very light) and a Feather Pro blade your looking at something that sits right in between the M1 and R1 base plates. With the efficiency of the R2 or better.
If I can get the right handle to match it will be a definite keeper.

I used B&M Arctique this morning - thought I'd messed up the lather, looked OK on the brush and in the mirror but didn't feel right on my face. After a while I realised the lather was fine, it was my face that didn't feel right - just before my eyes began running. Is this stuff cold or what? I used Osage Rub to warm up!

OK. I've just used this soap. Wow! I put a small amount in my lather bowl and chased it around with the brush for a bit. I think the brush held a little too much water for the soap and it produced a really thin almost non existent lather. I had loaded two razors with a Ladas blade just in case I needed something mild due to the reportedly thin lather. An ATT S1 and an ATT R2. Looking at the lather and wanting to keep most of my face, ugly as it is I plumped for the former. I applied the lather and it really was the coldest I have ever used. I'm no menthol head and have really only so far used menthol samples from the now released P&B Denali and the yet to be sorted Wickhams which is still being formulated.
My eyes started to water almost immediately and the face was freezing.
First pass was OK. It was slick enough to get away with it but for the second xtg I had a brain wave and decided to add some Wool Fat to the mix. This is the nearest I have to unscented and the difference was immediate. The lather was awesome and it had no effect on the menthol cooling which was even more apparent on the second pass.
The rinse off was interesting. leaving my face really cold for 5 minutes or more.
It has been a really nice experience mainly thanks to the Wool Fat giving the soap a much needed helping hand.
Thanks for the opportunity Nishy to try a real Menthol soap. I loved it.

Have some of this coming my way looking forward to the face freeze!

No problem my friend. Sounds about right, very slick and very thin lather. Good idea to add MWF or even a cream to create a super lather? So far it has made every man cry who touches it. It is a mean old girl! :)

A little tip if you have any lather left over at the end of the shave, put some on the back of the neck (then wash/wipe off) great way to cool down. I even occasionally let my face cloth soak in the bloom water and then pat my neck all over.
