My share of abstract smudges.

@Helveticum - H - that's real nice. I

In the Mid-Sixties I was studying industrial design at the Philadelphia College of Art. The first year everyone had to take classes in figure drawing, graphic design, 3D design, ceramics, welding, print making, plaster modeling and photography. Our photography instructor was the famous photographer Ray Metzker, who every once in awhile he would blow down from NYC and critique our stuff. The first day of class he never mentioned anything about technical things, like F stops, exposure time, or dark room technics - only that in 4 weeks he wanted to see 8 photos and we all had to buy a Pentax Spotmatic. His only caveat was he didn't want to see any cats and fire escapes.

Well, your photo of a cat and a fire escape are world class and would make the great Metzker proud. Way to go.
