Pre shave

Just a heads up gents, the three pre shave types are curing as we speak. I will create a thread on BST shortly after fulfilling the original orders.

Sorry I'm late to the party (traveling all last week). I got a sample of "Melissa" and tried it yesterday. Very nice but I could do without the cedar scent.
Bottle was cracked so I only have about 2 shaves left of the sample.
I'll be in for a 50ml bottle of #2 please (citrus/bay).

As a suggestion, maybe a light vetiver/fougere/green scent? Oh, and padded envelopes too. ;)

Thanks Erik, apologies for the charge and broken container, all resolved with the new packaging. Not sure why you were the only one charged?

I can in the future tailor a scent to an individual and thank you again for your feedback and order.

A fougere scent is on my radar. Something to match up with RP santal fougere.

Hi Jim, haven't made a batch up for some time, I have a few ideas spiralling around inside my head, all of which I will post up once tried and tested. I have to state that none will be licensed for sale so it's on a trust me basis.
100% organic no nasties, water soluble and smell fantastic.

No problem I'm happy to share the ingredients list.

I use the following ingredients, most sourced from a company called Healthaid. These include:
Organic Vitamin E oil
Organic Vitamin E cream high potency (pharmaceutical grade)
Selection (8) of organic EO's
Olive oil (sourced from Spain) self refined.
Rape seed oil
Distilled water
Tumeric root

Exact measures are a close kept secret ;)
I will be adding saffron to my 'new ideas'

Oh come on now! Close kept secrets are why PMs were created :)

Incidentally, I've been using Jojoba Oil as my base carrier oil, with Lavender EO (or Sandal wood) and Organic Vitamin E oil. Not as fancy as your recipe but it works :)

Jojoba I find clogging, lavender calms the senses when inhaled but notorious for warming the skin. Sourcing is key as even with saffron very few makers produce pure product.

And this is why I think I may be needing those measurements so I can try something different. Prior to using Jojoba, I tried grapeseed oil which I found too thick as a base oil. I also do prefer when I switch Lavender EO with Sandal Wood EO.

Nishy knows I'm fond of his creations...I have all three flavours and use them sparingly to make them last. Sometimes as a pre and sometimes afterwards. Sometimes both. Being a mix and match merchant I never use just one cream or oil or EDT or anything else really - when six will do...always a combination, but I often finish off with a drop of Nishy's gear. In all honesty I can't use the 'Nishy Special Concoction' on its own coz it comes up a bit sticky on my skin without something else with it...but that could just be me.....

And if Nishy's happy to keep the secret recipe under his belt then that's fine with me

If it ever goes commercial I would kick myself for giving away the recipe, that is my only reservation apart from that I would prefer the money, weddings cost bucks! :)

Haha. It's all good Nishy. I'll keep experimenting :)

Incidentally, I found a shaving oil at our local drug mart...crazy expensive but really really effective. Have been meaning to capture the ingredients list and play around with it...will post if I have success.
