Razor Emporium

They lost the Fatboy of a fellow member of a French forum. RE recognised their mistake but the damage was done and the member received a Fatboy that was not his. Of course there was no way to retrieve his as there was no way to trace it...

I used a discount coupon for replating the head of my Gillette New. The quality of there work is average and the overall experience of my dealings with them was okayish.

You would be better off using Dave Glynn in New Zealand , he was local to me but emigrated a few years ago , great guy and one of "us" , trades as Restored Razors and visits the forums now and again
I remember him, and was a bit miffed when he went to NZ.

Out of interest, do you know how sending something to him over there, having it "fettled" and sent back, works out from the point of view of costs, especially duties etc, back in the UK?

Yes , I was a bit miffed too , he was only a few minutes drive away from me , it was all very convenient , more so when he started honing and restoring straights .
I can't comment on the costs , I have not gone down that avenue , sorry .

I've had dealings with them and it was always a hassle. Lazy work, indifferent quality and one razor had to be shipped back 3 times. Now that was a few years ago, but just personally, I stay away from them.
