Rooney Brushes - info please!

I bought a Rooney 2/1 Finest from Vintage Blades about 8/9 years ago. It is my most expensive brush and is very pleasing aesthetically and performance-wise. A couple of years ago, however, I moved it out of my regular brush rota and use it only occasionally now because the knot is breaking down; most disappointing. I believe that Lee Sabini ran Rooney for a while; he now operates Morris & Forndran near London, but is as elusive as ever. I recently had Brad Sears in the USA, make me a Rooney Alibaba-style handle which he sent to Lee Sabini in London to knot with 3-band silvertip; it's a lovely brush in all respects.

What does an Alibaba-style handle look like?

I can't upload a picture as I'm told the file is too large...!???o_O It's basically the same shape as a Simpson Persian Jar, but with a ridge around the upper lip of the handle where the knot is fitted.
What I just called a vase shape out of my ignorance. 18mm knot:
