A very fine 3 passes with a clean up tonight for a DFS. The Black Pearl is reminiscent of exotic spice cargos of yore this mysterious fragrance sets sail with fresh, herbal top notes over soft floral and a medley of spices. Accented with a smoky depth of vetiver, myrrh and wood grass.

Shaving recipe for today.


Prep: hot shower:/Radox Fennel & Sea Minerals For Men shower gel/ warm wet flannel to my face.


Pre:


3 Drops of Wilkinsons Shaving Oil: / Fruits: Rhubarb & Vanilla Body Butter.


Razor: 1971 Gillette Slim Twist.


Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum .(1)


Brush: Unbranded Chinese Horsehair.


Face Lather.


soap: Erasmic Soap bowl.


Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.


Post:


Lavender oil/Witch Hazel Mixture./Old Spice A/S.


Arko Fresh Aftershave Balm.


Overall the shaves i've had with the Super-Max Super Platinum blades have been excellent,matching up really nicely with all of my razors i've used in my rotation this week ,today was no exception..my Gillette Slim Twist /Super-Max Super Platinum combo was superb, another 3 pass silky smooth shave with no errors to report.I'm very pleased on how these blades have performed.Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of old spice.Enjoy your day,gentlemen. :cool:

Second shave with the General last night. Two days of stubble and a Feather Pro blade on its third outing. No picture as it was late and I was tired!

Also the second outing for my Shavemac 386 fan silvertip two band. Really enjoying this brush, lovely soft tips, still enough backbone and a pleasure to use. I paired it with the 1912 Citrus musk, lathered up well, smelt good.

A good shave, the General was more comfortable with less growth, still a little tuggy in the tougher places, but this could well be an experience thing as I'm new to this razor. After my usual two passes I was smooth and happy!
