SOTD: 3/21/2017 - "All Limed Up"

Pre: Workout, sauna & hot shower
Brush: ClassicShaving.com Satin Tip
Soap: Captain's Choice Lime Shaving Cream
Razor: Hone Type 15a w/ Feather Hi-Stainess blade in Range Leather travel case & Halftime Razors head shaver
Post: Captain's Choice Lime aftershave balm & splash

I was expecting a good lather, but I wasn't expecting THIS! The shave cream is incredible. The lather just kept going and going. Captain's Choice has really got something here.

Be smooth and shave it up, everyone!

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, Bulldog Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: ASCO orange (#2)
Brush: Kent BLK4
Soap: Palmolive Stick grated
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: Nivea Originals Balm

A much better shave today, yesterday I used the ASCO blade in an iKon 101 and it was disappointing, today's shave using the ASCO blade in the Fatip was actually really good.

Tuesday's shave

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Coal Tar Soap.
Razor - Ikon Shavecraft 101.
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (day 2).
Soap - Body Shop Maca Root Shaving Cream.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger
Post shave - Myrsol Formula "K" After Shave.

Was in a hurry this morning, no time for pre-shave oil - lather, shave and go.

The Maca Root shave cream next to the skin felt great, excellent lubrication. This made me wonder if you can get beter shaves with the benefits of the soap, without a pre-shave oil barrier on the skin?

Quick 2 passes, no issues, close and comfortable shave.

21st March

Evening Gents. I had a fairly acceptable shave this evening. Maybe I've been spoiled by the high-end creams I've been using lately but the Barbon just didn't seem to offer the same protection and glide. This was the fifth shave on the Vector cart and it was noticeably rougher and more tuggy so in future it will be four shaves and done. Not a big deal when I can pick them up on eBay for around 50 cents each. Finished up with the neck feeling a little hot but that was quickly calmed down by a generous dollop of the wonderful Myrsol Emulsion. Time for a quick sandwich and then off to work for me!
