RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Tabac soap
PAL S/S Adjustable - No3
Schick "Chick " [ 7 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Tabac A/S lotion

Yesterday had a not too satisfactory shave with a S/S PAL , smooth but not particularly close. As the PAL is normally one of my favourites , I decided to use the one I use on a regular basis. The difference was immediately apparent , the Shave was much smoother but more importantly the good close all round finish was what I expected from a PAL.

This just confirms what others had indicated, that due variations in the manufacturing process, the performance of S/S PAL Adjustable Razors may vary. Because of this problem, many folk have not been impressed with the Razor. which for me is not only a good looker, but a good performer.

Soap - Gentleman's Groom Room Essence of Scotland Highland Bothy

Brush - RazoRock Plissoft 24mm synth.

Face lather

Razor - Schick Injector G8

Blade - Schick Injector (China)

Post - Thayer's Rose Petal

Smell - Trumper's Eucris EdT

Outstanding shave today with the Schick. A complete contrast to yesterday's so-so one with the ER 1924. BBS and smelling good. The Highland Bothy and Eucris complement each other, with the same notes of cedar and vetiver.

Last night's shave....

First shave with the Supply SE courtesy of the pass around. Thank you to all those involved in arranging it.

@Blademonkey

So what did I think? Well seen as this was last night's shave and I'm still struggling to find the words I'll leave it up to you to decide.

The fit and finish is excellent. No problem changing the base plate and no issues fitting the blade either.
The feel of the razor in hand is something I'm not sure about. The weight is OK (110g) and there were no issues with it becoming slippy. It's just the way it felt in the hand.
Hard to explain by what I mean but at times it felt uncomfortable (not the right word I'm looking for) to hold.

On to the shave. I chose base plate 2 and used the personna blades provided.

The first pass was very smooth with very little audio feedback. I had to check to see it was removing any stubble and it was, not a lot but enough to know it was actually cutting the stubble.
I adjusted the shaving angle thought and the audio feedback increased dramatically on the second pass (across the grain) So far I would say the razor was mild and comfortable.

On to ATG. I found you can get the razor to be quite aggressive depending on the shaving angle. Saying that I did need multiple passes under my jaw line and neck area.
Now this is nothing out of the ordinary as with most new razors I use it takes me a few shaves to get this right.

I'm not going to give you a definitive yes or no answer on whether I'd buy one yet. I'll need a few more shaves with it.

The finished shave was good but could have been closer under the jaw line/ neck area.

I hope all the above makes some sense? Not feeling particularly inspired at the moment.

Cheers
Rob

Tabac - Thursday
General 'Kenobi' w/Rocnel handle
Schick Proline #1
Rinse > Alum > Rinse
Fahrenheit A/S
Lacura Body Moisturiser

Love the Tabac. It has everything I like about a soap. Easy brush load, lovely scent and excellent performance. The General 'Kenobi' on the Rocnel handle works great and looks great. Many thanks to Mike @mpf9ret for gifting me some Artist Club blades including this Proline. This blade is seriously sharp as noted by the razor feedback, but also really smooth, much smoother than the Feather Pro super on its first outing. An excellent final result.

May your shaves be with you !!!!

Pre:

Freshwood Brushless Shave Cream .

Brush: Erasmic Pure Bristle.

Bowl Lather.

Cream: The Body Shop-Maca Root.

Blade: Gillette 7'oClock Super Stainless.(1)

Razor: Parker 24C.(O.C.)

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture./4711 A/S Cologne.

Nivea Men: Creme .

Greetings,

my SOTD'S this week have been a pleasurable experience..all the razors i've chose for them have worked brilliantly..the razor of the week though, has been my Parker 94R..i've instantly found my angle with her..

Today's shave i've carried on with my Parker 24C, which performed with effortless efficiency..resulting in a 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report...

Out of all my Parker razors i struggled to find the right angle was my 24C at first, but
i found that if i used a more steeper shaving angle, it performs superbly, and gives a sublime shave.

The maca root cream, is something i haven't used in a while, and i've forgot how much of a slick protective lather
you get, from such a little amount in no time, creating anough lather and more for the shave, nice scent also, i know that some people have a love/hate opinion of the scent, but i like it.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of 47ll,which works with the Nivea Men Creme very nicely.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling devine.

Enjoy your day,ladies & gentlemen.

How long does the 4711 cologne last?
