Greetings,

My shaves throughout the week have been excellent, but today's shave has been the shave of the week..A effortless 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report..

The Palmolive Classic cream is such a wonderful performer and never fails to give a superb protective slick lather and leaving a wonderful post shave feeling to my face..adding to that ,it's so easily available in the UK at a very reasonable price...

Finishing the shave off in style with a generous splash of my much loved 4711 Cologne Aftershave...;)

My face is feeling silky smooth and smelling devine..

Enjoy your day ,ladies & gentlemen.

Prep....Wash with olive oil soap
Razor....Q Shave adjustable set to 4
Blade....Polsilver Stainless (Lodz Poland) #2
Soap....DR Harris Almond
Brush....Semouge 2000
Post....Thayers / BBA post shave balm
Smell....Molecule 01 ISO Super

a very good shave was had, for a razor of this price it was very good indeed . It was very smooth in its action and I found it easy enough to get it's rather bulky head under my nose. I was left as smooth as I like to be after a shave and without irritation of any sort. Thr DR Harris shave soap is fab and the Almond scent was pleasing.
A big thanks going out to @Supermangs for his great PIF, we'll done that man :)

Wishing you all a good day.........:)

Hi Pat,
Top set-up. Quick question. Sinuous have any issues with fitting and removing the Proline blades in the SE1?

Cheers
Rob

Cheers Rob,
No I haven't had a problem loading the proline blades in the SE1,I stuck a fresh blade in the razor to double check for you and there's no problem with the fitting.

Still liking the Duke ;)

Thank you Pat, appreciate it. Funnily enough I was tempted to ask how you were getting on with 'The Duke'. Good to hear you are still happy with it.

Have a good day.

Greetings All,

Thursday shave.

Two days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: Prorosa white pre-share
Soap: Taylor of Old Bond Street – Sandalwood
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Voskhod (2nd use)
Brush: Molten Brown Shaving Brush

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, Proraso aftershave lotion (green) and Proraso post shave cream (white)

Second use of the Voskhod and I enjoyed using it – three passes and ended up with a very smooth finish - NICE.

Brush: J&T® bamboo / Tuxedo synthetic 24 mm
and J&T® black walnut / Maggard synthetic 24 mm.
Shaving soap: Bon Berger Menthe stick (grated).
Razor: Maggard Slant / MR14 handle.
Blade: Lord Super Stainless (5).
After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

Compared the two knots today.
The differences are very small:
The tips of the Tuxedo are slightly softer, the Maggard has a little bit more backbone.
But as said: VERY small differences .... ;)

S.O.T.D Thu 8 June (PM)

Prep: Hot Shower
Brush: RazzoRock 24mm synthetic
Soap: Cella
Bowl: Captains Choice large lather bowl
Razor: Merkur 34HD
Blade: Treet Durasharp #3
Post Shave: Fine American Blend Aftershave

Since 1899? There is a reason why they are still in business making soaps!
A fantastic classic soap, lovely scent. Lots of cushion on the lather, great quality at a good price point.
Both razor, soap and brush came together brilliantly for a great shave.
