Brush: Omega 40033
Razor: Gibbs No 17
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1)
Cream: Extro Arzachena
Post: Boots Tea Tree WH, Nivea 2 Phase & Extro Arzachena

Same again but a different razor, my trusted Gibbs with a new Wilkinsn Sword blade, much better than the Bolzano from yesterday. Clean as a whistle for a little 80th tea party for my grandma this afternoon. Shame the weather is awful so we can't have a small tea in the garden.

OK, Time to share......I'm The Toff and I'm a bayrumohlic,...I love all things bay rum,...been clean for a while but today I fell off the wagon and trialled a new one.
With a two shave polsilver in, I fired up the Fatboy,....
Fabulous shave, three passes and whipped off the pick-ups with just water using the residual slickness,...super scent,....In my best Andy Gray voice:......

Thur 8th june
Omega s10065 syn.
OSP Bay Rum
RR Alu. Hawk
Schick Proline Type P [ 7 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Bay Rum A/S splash

Now the S/S RR Se is out, it looks as though the Alu. Hawk may be no more. It is not a bad low budget Razor, which for me works nicely round the Cheeks/ Neck, but feels quite aggressive on the chin and upper lip, where a ultra light touch is needed.
Today I have no complaints, in the main the shave was comfortable and the finish was very good too.

Still on the Road, Still Enjoying My Mastro Livi RWL34 Razor

Still on the road and still enjoying this Mastro Livi RWL34 very much! I am very happy I have brought with me this straight razor and it is giving me exceptional shaves, smooth and with an impeccable BBS. Three passes of pure satisfaction for an irritation free shave and a super smooth skin. I have simply stropped this RWL34 razor on Mastro Livi travel loom strop - leather side, of course - followed by hand palm stropping and the razor was ready to give the best shave. The Omega Professional 48 shave brush did its usual excellent job in mounting a rich lather from the Negozio Leggero shaving cream. As usual, Pinaud Clubman aftershave delivers both a refreshing and spicy sensation. Great shave!

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: Negozio Leggero Lavender Hazelnut Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Omega Bristle 48
  • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi RWL34, 8/8 Full Hollow, Snake Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Elite Razor Reclaimed Poplar Manchurian White 2-Band (24mm/50mm)
C&E Sweet Almond Oil shaving soap + shaving cream (both vintage)
DE Ink Edition AS-D2/Triad Copper Aristocrat
Personna Super Platinum Chrome (9)
RazoRock R-160 Sweet Almond aftershave balm

A wonderful sweet almond shave. At 75mm, the Triad handle is a little too short to be comfortable in my hand, but it certainly is handsome.

Don't be silly, you know that title goes to OSP! :)

Evening gents,

Been off ill the last couple of days only starting to get better today really so thought I'd improve my mood with a shave.

I did improve my mood as well. First shave in a while with the ATT S2 and a weeks worth of growth to plough through. I also fancied a change of soap so reached for the MDC and my second lather with this gorgeous Shavemac.

The MDC lather is ridiculous, stupidly fast and luxurious, a pleasure to use. The brush is great, soft tips and good backbone, great flow through. The razor is just brilliant. I think my favourite DE. Mowed through with a fresh Astra SP blade, no irritation, no nicks just a DFS.

Finished off with Thayer's Aloe Witch Hazel and 1912 Classic 24 Aftershave Balm. Brilliant shave.

Sotd - Thursday 8/6

Razor - Merkur Slant
Blade - Gillette 7 o'clock Blue (2)
Brush - Stirling Fan Butterscotch
Soap - Razorock Puro
Post - Witch hazel
A/S - Alt Innsbruck
Balm - Aloe vera.

Result - nice. Everyone should try the Merkur 37c slant. It was my second razor and I still reach for it often, years later. Bombproof, cheap, unchanged for decades and - most importantly - it works superbly with a minimum of fuss. The brush just gets better and better. I would be just as happy had I paid twice as much for it. Proper gel tips now. Finally - a rare thing is about to happen in my den. That was the second last use of the Alt Innsbruck after-shave - it's about to run out. I have some vague ancestral memory of finishing a small tub of Proraso Green and a puck of MWF - but it's not the norm. Fear not - it will be replaced straight away - it's a guaranteed 'you smell nice' from my other half. Top end shave and thence out into the unremitting rain to fulfill my democratic responsibility. Enjoy your shaves - I.

Good evening gents,

Prep: Hot shower and L'Oreal charcoal face wash
Pre: Bloom water
Razor: King Cobra
Razor blade: Kai Pro Guard (2)
Brush: Simpsons Captain Machurian
Bowl: Aesop Stainless Steel
Soap: D.R. Harris Arlington
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Dove sensitive aftershave balm

AGAIN another razor on loan from James AKA @Acer89 thank you.

I was going to waffle on about it's reputation but you already know all this.

OK so what did I think.....It was bloody rubbish! The most overrated razor I think I've ever used.....Only joking.:p:

It was stunning!

First off, it's extremely smooth, including AGT.
Efficient wise (due to the mild blade) it took the stubble off 'steadily' (probably not the right term but it I hope you know what I mean?) with 3 passes and a few touch ups.

I was tempted to swap the blade out for a Proline or Feather Pro but didn't want to push my luck plus there really was no need.
The shave was effortless with no hint of irritation or tenderness.

Have a good night. I'm off to the Dark Web to sell one of my kidneys.:p:D

Thanks again to James.
