Scent of The Day

Rive Gauche today as I may be out and about ( as muchly as I get out and about ) and I usually pick up a couple of compliments from ladies wearing this one. Which surprises me as 5 minutes after initial application I feel as if I may as well have splashed myself in ( expensive ) tap water for all the scent I can pick up. And yet, this is the most favourably commented on fragrance in my not inconsiderable stable by a country mile. And almost invariably by ladies.

Lovely stuff.

Hey scent experts! I'm looking for a nice strong patchouli prominent scent guys but I don't want to break the bank this early in the year. Any help or recommendation out there for me?
Patchouli prominent I'd say Givenchy Gentleman. Its apparently not as potent since some reformulations but great nonetheless. I can do you a sample if you want to try? Waiting on some sample bottles which should arrive today. :)

Edit: another patchouli (albeit with rose) is Mancera Black Line, which I know @flashashton27 is a big fan of!

I'm starting to really appreciate patchouli a lot more recently. To be honest I'm not aware of many predominately patchouli based designer fragrances @Oomer. I can highly recommend Black Line from Mancera, as @Benz3ne has also commented on. I did have a sample of this but I have sent it to @Sid James. If you haven't already, I'd recommend looking through Basenotes to see if anyone else has posted a similar question.
