Well just thought I would post this, re the schick I bought from nolisco. I used it for the first time today with a polsilver blade (never used a polsilver blade before). I was sort of not really making th most of my shave like usual, thb it was more of chore shave. I can't even remeber if it was 2 or 3 pass. It was only when I had actually finished the shave I realised what a terrific shave it was. Have I stumbled upon the right combination of blade and razor or was it just a lucky shave? I can't wait to try it again :)

I scored a cheap one recently from eBay and was very pleasantly surprised too at the efficient and drama free shave it gave with a Personna Lab Blue.

As @Bogeyman has alluded before it's just a very well designed piece of hardware, the taper on the blade doors setting the angle perfectly
 
The Krona reminds me of the old saying WWI German pilots said about the legendary Fokker D.VII fighter in that it made a good pilot into a great pilot. ;)

Yes, you have stumbled on something very close to the perfect razor for most blokes.
