I would enjoy this razor more if I could ensure I get the same shave each and every time without phaffing about with the blade exposure, twiddly bit (the technical term - I believe).

First outing for the AC with a Feather Professional. A DFS, until the end when I nicked myself on the chin (bugger of a place to negotiate with a straight). Chops are smooth though. Perseverance will pay off.

Finished off with a splash of Speick. I'm looking forward to the BBA after shave balm. The skin needs it after this kind of shave.

And I should apologise, Jan; for submitting a straight razor SOTD. SEs from now on...

Razor....Cobra Classic SE
Blade....Schick Proline P-20
Soap....Valobra Cologne
Brush....Omega Italian Barber Boar
Scuttle....Giles Shaving Co
Post....BBA PSB

One of my best shaves ever...........yes, I did just say that! This Cobra classic paired with the Proline blade gave me a truly outstanding shave.
BBS skin with zero nicks or irritation and from a razor that looks Uber cool and one I've been lusting after for some time, so thanks going out to @culcreuch for the loan of his razor, much appreciated .
I think I need to buy one of these!

Tomorrow, another day the same razor......you bet ya! :)

Razor: ER Streamline

Post: Warm then cold water, Homemade Skinfood

Feeling under the weather today (man flu), and couldn't face a cold water shave. An efficient one pass shave didn't make me feel any better, but I feel clean.
Dropped this brush and noticed a bit of shedding today, hopefully it's only temporary.

Tuesday 12th SEptember

Birch Tar Soap
Groomed Facial Scrub
Monsavon Soap
Giles Shaving Bowl
Omega 10098 Boar Brush
ES Claymore with a Windrose Handle and Proline Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
Homemade Buttermix
Myrsol Aqua Balamica AS
Quorum EDT before I go to work.

On night shift tonight so I needed something which will carry me through until tomorrow morning. Three passes for a BBS shave with no issues

12 SEptember 2017 - third run out with the Blackland Sabre-SE :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, followed by Proraso (Green) Pre-shave Cream.
Razor - Blackland Sabre-SE.
Blade - GEM PTFE (Day 3).
Soap - Proraso Green Shaving Soap.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Duke 2 Best Badger.
Post shave - Proraso (Green) Aftershave Splash, followed by Proraso (Green) After Shave Balm.

Decided to go green today with a full Proraso flush. Not sure that I did differently today, noticed more audible feedback from the Sabre-SE, which added to the experience.

In terms of SE razors, having used the:
  • OneBlade
  • ATT SE1
  • Rocnel-SE GEM
  • Supply-SE and
  • Sabre-SE
this year it is hard to separate these, all offer something special. My only negative is that the GEM blade needs to be filed down a little to remove the corners before use with the Rocnel, however, once that is done, an excellent shave awaits.
