Today's shave was influenced by my experience yesterday evening when the sky was blue, purple and pink in one direction, yet had the golden glow of a setting sun in the other. This was set amongst backdrop of green, rolling hills which were accented by hints of yellowing leaves on the trees.

It served a perfect end to summer and the visual impact and scents in today's shave reflect this, starting with the citrus scents of the pre-shave oil and moving progressively into more complex scents as it progressed.

Another great shave to mark the Autmnal Equinox. :)

T&H Pre-Shave Oil
Route 66 Bourbon Jungle soap

Very poetic, thanks.

I never know what to call this razor, as the head is stamped Ever-Ready and the handle is a Gem.
No matter what it is, it gave a very good shave, as always.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso Green
Razor: GEM G Bar
Blade: GEM SS PTFE (#7)
Brush: Maseto 30mm 2 band finest fan shape
Soap: Cella
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: Balm by @neilbart

A decent shave, the Cella and Maseto are excellent companions. The GEM blade may be on its way out and/or the G bar is not as efficient as some other razors.

Catie's Bubbles Glacé Herbe
Bulldog AS Balm and Pre-Shave Oil
Vie Long Butterscotch Amphora Horse Hair Brush
Supply Provision Razor

Today's SEptember SOTD gave me the chance to try out some new products, namely Catie's Bubbles Glacé Herbe and Bulldog AS Balm and Pre-Shave oil.

The Glacé Herbe is a really interesting soap. It starts off with a Vetiver scent (which is not my favourite scent - thankfully there's no earthy undertones present in this soap). The soap transforms when lathered as the menthol really comes through and thoroughly changes the scent profile. It turns it from an average soap into a great one. It's definitely a keeper for sure. Waited for the Postie before having a shave. It was well worth the wait, best shave yet with a Valet. Very smooth, very efficient, smiles all round :D:D
Have a great weekend.

Olive Oil Soap
3P Preshave Cream
Arko Soap Stick
Zenith Boar Brush
GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip with a GEM SS Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
ASB by @neilbart
Selin Turkish Cologne
Golden Dust Oil

Todays Bullet tip is the first Gem I bought...and today is the first time it has been used. Clever camera angles did not reveal the full extent of the wear....and it looks rough. It is however....a great shaver.

Three passes for a great BBS shave:)

The same set up as yesterday apart from the brush and my last sample of @neilbart's balm.
I love the simplicity of this razor, the blade slides into a clip, then you secure it into the blade pins and away you go. No top cap, the blade is the cap.
