Shark blades: anyone else like them?

In my quest to give the Shark a damn good testing, this morning I loaded it into the Barbaros. I'm pleased to say that on it's third outing in three different razors it once again gave me a damn good smooth shave. I'm going to retire it and try another Fri. Can the second out of the pack give the same quality shave? Time will tell but if it does I'm going either buy 100 or see if someone will swap some of my blades for some Sharks.

Yea I would try another pack. I have used in a 24c and "your" 37c @Steve Bowles and honestly they performed beautifully, especially in the 24c. I just bought some Lord Platinums to try too. Will feed back on those soon.

Yes!

The ones I have are Super Stainless yellow pack ones. I was not aware there were super chrome as well: so many damn choices with these blades. I don't know how it is economically viable for the makers to have so many!

The packaging is identical with both so it could get confusing.

A Gillette "insider" gave a clue to that once on another forum. With today's modern CNC eqpmt. it's as simple as pushing a button on a CAD program to alter the hone angle a degree or two or altering the sputtering/coating as well. Also, blade makers' sales reports show what blade sells best in specific parts of the World I'm sure.

Today's Sharkathon trial consisted of the Hone 15a loaded with a new Shark. OSP Menthol, face lathered with a Vlad Ferdman. The lather was stunning. Full slick and choc a block with cushion. The Hone whilst it sounded like it was doing the biz just isn't the razor for the Shark and is probably too mild for it. The shave was nice but a notch down from what I have been getting. DFS no doubt and if I wasn't compering it to other shaves it would have been good enough. Still smooth though with no irritation anywhere again. 7/10.

Whilst I agree they are nothing like astras, I find them very smooth and are one of my favourite blades now.

Bear in mind I also have a number of polsilver on order thanks to matteob's recommendations. ....

I did buy a massive pack of about 100 blades....

Any theories of why some blades work for some and not others?

And how many blades do people have in their possession presently.

Cheers

Mark

Today I stuck one in my Rockwell 6C using plate 3. Yet again it performed wonderfully. Smooth as silk and sharp enough for my beard. My flabber has never been as gasted. I cannot believe I like these blades. If I had not of read this thread and had some given I'd have missed out. If anyone has a few and fancies a swap let me know. I've a good selection of Voshies, Ladas, Rapira and Feathers.
