    Pre - RSC Facial Scrub
    Soap - Vitos Red
    Brush - Omega 82065
    Razor - YT Tech
Blade - Perma Sharp SS (4)
    Post Shave - Witch Hazel

I've been using/testing @phoenixandbeau vegan soap for the last few days, and decided to use Vitos Red today to compare it. It seems I am not just testing the P&B on it's own right but to what I am trying to find for soaps in general in usage for their qualities.

Vitos Red is one of my benchmark soaps as I find it really easy to build a lather and the lather quality is absolutely superb and comparing it today to the P&B Vegan, I definitely fond the Vitos Red easier to build a lather with. On my face for the third pass at least I noticed a bit of irritation when I had the lather on my face, which is something I can definitely live without. Post shave my face isn't feeling as great as it did for the P&B vegan.

Over the last few days I have had long lasting Shaves with a variety of Razors, with Reduced whisker growth the easier the Daily Shave becomes. Well thats the theory anyway.

Using the light Alu. Hawk I tend to use a trusty Barber Shop soap, which provides the cushion and glide needed with a lighter Razor to avoid the dangers of using too much pressure. Was a very comfortable shave, but I took care to use short strokes on the chin area, where exuberance can lead to mishap.

Extremely pleased with the Shave which despite the blade being on its 9th outing, was very comfortable and of the finished Face Stroking Variety. No doubt later in the week when meeting up with friends for Lunch, the Shave will be dreadful and the use of styptic pencil/tissue will be required. Will to rule that out choose a fail safe Razor, like the General.

    Fatip Testina Gentile
    Voskhod (1)
    Proraso Green
Boots Tea Tree WH & Proraso Green

A wise choice given today's sunny disposition. I did the same shave as Saturday with the Fatip and it left excellent results barring user error on my adams apple. No irritation at all from a razor I have been indifferent towards. Amazing how slight tweaks can bring new life to a razor. I'll likely give it a further run out tomorrow.

    Rockwell 6C (plate 4).
    Astra SP (1).
    Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented).
OSP Lemon and Cedar Wood Aftershave.

The best shave I have had so far. I was looking back over various threads on the forum earlier (as you do), and I noticed that the Astra SP divides opinion a little. Personally speaking, I have never had anything less than very good shaves with it. In fact I'm beginning to think why not just buy a couple of hundred and stick with them? Paired with the 6C I got an effortless BBS shave with 3 very smooth passes. First use of the NSS and it's great stuff. Easy to lather, cushioning, slick, and a gorgeous scent. I'm a contented chap.

    Greetings All,
    Monday shave.

Two days’ growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

    Pre: Prorosa Red pre-share
    Soap: P&B Citra Royale
    Razor: Merkur 34c
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1th)
    Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, followed by a shower then Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea Sensitive Balm.

First try of the Wilkinson Sword blades and it was a joy. Really like this soap and whipped up a great lather. 3 passes and left the bathroom very happy.

    Thomas Clipper DE
    Maseto 30mm
    Gillette Super Blue (China, 1st)
    Gentlemans cream
    Boots Bay Rum

The Gillette felt exceptionally tuggy to me for the first pass. Granted, prep left a little to be desired but it didn't slice and dice like the Feather DE blades I've been using of late. That being said it was a tame blade and really came into its own from the second pass onwards. I never once felt like this fairly aggressive razor was going to bite coupled with this blade! Made for a smooth shave thereafter and left me irritation free and lovely and smooth! The cream on its first outing practically exploded into lather. A slight dip with the tips and I was cooking with methane! :D So slick and creamy as well and my face feels great afterwards. The Bay Rum stung a little but boy it smells good and does the job.

May repeat this tomorrow... I enjoyed it so much (bar the first pass where I was tempted to switch blades...) :D

    Onto the next one, chaps!

    P&B Vegan trial soap

Very pleasing shave today. An easy to lather soft soap with good slick performance. The Guard performed better on its second outing so I'm now expecting this single cart to last me the fortnight's holiday.

... a gold Flying Wing! What a lovely razor! I sold all mine on when I settled on the 1912 as "my" razor (having bought a couple of hundred of them and settled on just the one hundred to keep). Yeah, I recall nice shaves from the Flying Wing.

    Lovely to see.

    Wickham's Parma Violet? Ahhhh ... :D
