Another Shave with the Brass General paired with a S/S knurled handle. Though the original does not slip, It never felt quite right for me, and though the current pairing does look odd, I feel comfortable using it. The Shave was smooth and easy with a more than acceptable finish being attained.

My second use of the cream which produces a nice lather, and as a bonus leaves the skin soft and refreshed. Seems a shame that the Cade hard soap appears to have been discontinued again , as I quite fancy it after using the Cream.

The right blade for the Supply SE is essential. I have a tough beard, and find I can only get a decent Shave with a Schick Proline Type B.

I've done Schicks on the way to test out.

But also getting itchy finger for a one blade core (the genisis is a tad expensive) and a gem g bar.

I am very impressed with this Merkur blade, has given me three excllent shaves so far, I feel I could push some more so I am going to see how many I can get from it, not something I usually do. One of the best lathers with this brush, the scent is an acquired taste but it is a top, top cream. I like it all in all. Great start to the week. ​

I held off shaving as I knew I had this coming. Thanks go to David @The optometrist for pulling this off the Bay for me to buy.
I had sold my Timeless and fell lucky with this Blackbird. I had fancied one for a little while so I snapped it up.
I had the ATT open combs and sold them on, don't know why so it was nice to own one again.
Shave wise, Bloody Brilliant is the only phrase I can use. It simply mowed down almost 6 days of stubble and left me smoother than an Eels scrotum in two passes. I could feel the teeth on my face which is no bad thing as it gives feedback on any excess pressure being applied but they are not rough on the skin.
I will have to try it out on a normal two day stubble and see if it is still as smooth.
Impressive.​
