Date: 21 August 2017 is nearly 6:25am in West of London

Pre: - Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush: - Envy Shave '8 Ball' 25/53mm Black Wolf Fan Knot
Lather: - Palmolive Classic Shave Stick (european version grated into a plastic tub)
Razor: - Gillette Ball End Tech 1946-50
Blade: - Feather Hi-Stainless #1
Post: - Thayers Witch Hazel 'Unscented' / Bulldog Original Aftershave Balm
Fragrance: - YSL L'Homme EDT

WOW!! Didn't realised the Feather blade cut like pure butter with the Gillette Ball Tech with only 2 pass shave WTG & XTG like magic .......I've been so bloody blind and I should've got a Ball Tech 3 years ago when I started wet shaving

Beautiful handle on that 1914.

Greetings All,

Monday shave.

Two days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood shaving cream
Razor: Merkur 37C
Blade: Pol Silver (2nd)
Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, followed by Alum, then a shower and to conclude Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase.

3 passes (WTG, XTG and ATG), and again, not using the pre-shave even with the Merkur 37c has left me bemused as (OK had a few weepers, again due to over doing my touch ups) I have finished up very smooth. The alum gave a momentary burn, but nothing like before and I seem to be getting more audio feedback which is helping my shave. Ow, and still loving the Polsilver blade - up there with the Sharks for me.

I will leave the Proraso pre-shaves out our my routine for the foreseeable future and concentrate on perfecting my lathers.

Don't need to shave til Tuesday again so thought I'd try the more aggressive 3 dot plate on the supply SE.

Razor: Supply SE
Brush: Simpsons chubby Synthetic
Cream: Simpsons Peppermint and rosemary
Post: Origins Firefighter

Didn't find the more aggressive plate to feel any different shaving and not really more efficient, still taking 3 passes. But post my fave feels a little more raw.

Back to the normal plate.

Edit - this is going to hurt tomorrow...
The right blade for the Supply SE is essential. I have a tough beard, and find I can only get a decent Shave with a Schick Proline Type B.
