Shave of the day Saturday 9th Sept - Friday 15th Sept 2017

Having been successful lately with my milder razors I dialed back the Q-Shave (with its new polished cap and guard) to 2.5 with one shim. It's always a bit tuggy but very manageable today. The 2.5 setting is more than enough blade gap to allow for the angles I like on the back of my head. A bit more irritation than usual (too much pressure surely) but a very close and enjoyable shave. Tian Li, LA Shaving Shop SM Bay Rum, great stuff.

Lovely shave, thanks to Billy for the razor which I have affectionately named "the ghost"... It's that smooth I had to check it was touching skin, it was! Also continually impressed with the Simpsons Pure grade of hair, always been warned off it due to to unusable amounts of scritch/scratch... What a bunch of girls blouses, fantastic face feel on this one :D

Have a great trip to Orkney, I hope you have a great time with your friends. :)

Thanks Paul. I am really looking forward to seeing my friend and his family again. On Sunday evening we are going to North Hoy, staying at a hostel there and on Monday hiking to and from Rackwick Bay on the west of Hoy. So something to look forward to after fracturing one of my front teeth and having to pay a visit to the dentist this afternoon.:)

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue SOC Boar
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat

Razor: ATT Kronos M2
Blade: Vintage Gillette Spoiler (4)
Post: TSW After balm
EDP: Givenchy Gentleman

Managed to get the MWF lather spot-on this evening. A lovely shave resulted, followed by an equally nice post shave.
The SOC boar is getting really luxurious now - worth the effort breaking it in.

I've not posted for a couple of weeks as "real life" has recently taken over.
I had to say goodbye to my closest and loyal friend, Basher, my Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
He had an ongoing stomach problem that we were managing with medication for around eighteen months.
On the night of August 24th the poor boy took a turn for the worse. We took him to the vets the following day and the news wasn't good. We had to make the decision to let him go.
The void that is left in my life is enormous, and impossible to put in to words.
I need to try to get back to some normal semblance of life, so I've decided to start posting again.

Today's very trivial shave. . . . .

Thank you all for having me here and God bless you all and your furry family members.
@Paul L - deepest condolences on your loss. As a fellow Staffie owner, I know what wonderful dogs and companions they are. Here's a photo of my wee Matilda sending you condolences and wishing peace to Basher,,,,,,

Thank you very much Tom

She is a real cutie.
She has the same name tag as Basher's, and he also had a very similar toy (it didn't last very long)!!!

Best wishes to you and your furry family

Vie Long 13061b
Razorock Baby Smooth
Polsilver SI (2)
Monsavon
Thayers Rose, Nivea Men Cream & Crabtree and Evelyn Black Absinthe

The shaves aren't perfect yet but they are improving. ATG on the tache still leaves a tiny weeper, try a different plan of attack tomorrow. Vie Long and Monsavon is a lovely little combination. If this soap was in a more sturdier package it would be perfect. No rhyme or reason for the post, fancied using it for a change, great scent.
