by the way: I believe Zenith should present more boar brushes with 57 mm loft instead of 64 mm that I have tested and found too floppy in my book or 70 mm not sure but imagining ouch! knot suffering from total erectile dysfunction

Chaps I was reading a thread on reddit where a guy managed to break in his boar using a method where he soaked the brush in cold waterleft it in the fridge for 3 days. I am curious about this method and wondered if anyone here has tried it out? Tempted to get a cheap one to give it a try.

My quest to find a good boar continues...

Enter, the Zenith B02. With a 26x64 knot it's quite large and floppy, easily remedied by pinching the base of the knot. I've used it once and the tips have already split, on its maiden voyage i would compare the softness to a Maseto finest 2-band badger... I wonder how soft this thing will get with a bit of use?

Also pleased to report it didn't “eat” the lather like the Semogue 830.

...Excuse the crap pic.

I have bin there, done that, actually tried two from Zenith but my take was: Too floppy! To the bin! x two!
(In hindsight I should have bought the Zenith model, B03-A26, with a 57 mm loft)

...I soak a new boar for a couple of days, not in the fridge though, I find it does make a difference...if its a Smog I suspect several months soaking would only help a tad :)
