"They're from Joy", she said.
A couple of small garlic/onion bulbs have been on the kitchen top for a couple of days now. Tonight, I added them to our dinner. Thankfully, I simply cut them in half rather than minced up.
Eating, I said to Mrs "I don't reckon much to those onions from Joy ... quite bitter!", to which Mrs said, "Silly! They're flowers! ... For the garden!".
... and ten minutes later the most violent vomiting I've done in years, followed rapidly by Mrs.
Don't eat daffodil bulbs!
Thankfully, it was just two and we most certainly did not eat more than their immersion in the dish. They were quite identifiable and easily removed from the finished dish once we'd had the above conversation. Nevertheless, highly emetic!
Enjoying a stomach-settling Guinness XX now ...
