Blade: Proline #3
Razor: AC Feather (On loan from birthday boy @culcreuch :) )
Brush: Maseto Silvertip 30mm
Soap: S.V 70th anniversary
Post: Thayers witch hazel
EDT: Izzey Myake

Well after much blood loss but even more perseverance I think I have cracked it. ;) (Today anyway )
I have just had a wonderful 2 pass shave followed by a few touch ups to give me a trouble free BBS shave.
This razor is truly magnificent.

The soap is top of the tree YMMV. The slickness and cushion is sublime.

Brush did not shed as much as usual so perhaps it is calming down a little.

Finished with Witch Hazel and a generous splash of Myake.

I am chuffed to bits. :D

Enjoy your shaves...

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney 3/3 Ivory Finest #1 (26mm/60mm)
Brooks Brothers shaving soap (vintage)
RazoRock Mamba
Personna 74 Tungsten (9)
Calvin Klein Obsession aftershave

This was my first use of the Mamba. It was not quite as intuitively easy as the Timeless that I first used yesterday, and I had to do more touch up work, but I was able to get a BBS shave without any problems.

Evening shave.

BBA Face Wash.
Stirling Barbershop.
Maseto 30mm Finest.
Little Wren Pottery.
Mongoose B2 + Ikon OSS Handle.
Proline P-30 (2).
Fine American Blend Aftershave.
BBA Post Shave Balm.

Two days growth mowed down with consummate ease by the Mongoose. What with the Cobra (on loan), the General, and now the Mongoose, I'm finding it difficult to tear myself away from AC blade razors at the moment. Have a good evening gents.

Sotd - Wednesday 15/11 -

Razor - Mergress (3.5)
blade - Lodz Polsilver (1)
brush - Stirling two-band fan
soap - Lea Classic hard soap - old version tallow
post - witch hazel
a/s - Lea Classic
balm - Russian Svoboda.

Result - just fine. Three day's growth.

I'm glad a couple of members reminded me to return to the Lea Classic hard soap tonight. It's very good in my experience. A nice hit of menthol and super slick in use. Lea have - I believe - reformulated it to a vegetarian version recently which I have never used - I hope they haven't ruined it. Having a couple of the old ones in reserve I'm not so concerned about this. I could never remember the exact differences between the tube, refill hard soap and the croap version in the tin. They were slightly different from each other if memory serves. All good for me. The Classic range are the premium products from Lea but still excellent value for money in my opinion. Their other creams in tubes are astonishingly good for the price - it you like La Toja - try them. It won't cost you much to see what you think. A healthy splash of the matching Classic after shave - more menthol, glycerin, oak moss and sandalwood - job done. Smoother than a Spinner dolphin after a Brazilian. Enjoy your shaves one and all - cheers - I.

Olive Oil Soap
Vitos Preshave Cream
Natural Ireland Seaweed Soap (Passaround by @Manicdee )
Vie-Long/Cashmere reknot Brush in Olive wood
Ikon MR-SE and Ikon Bulldog handle with a Proline-P Blade
Alum Block and rinse
Homemade Buttermix
Myrsol Metilsol AS
Molecule 04 Javanol EDP

A birthday shave today using my present to myself. The Ikon MR-SE is one great shaver:D It doesn't have the looks of the Cobra.....but the end result is pretty close. Once again the Natural Ireland soap gave a great performance resulting in a BBS shave with 2 passes and a touchup.
Happy birthday

A nice all-round shave today, if somewhat rushed due to falling back to sleep when the alarm went off. To answer my previous SOTD question: Yes, Smooth Operator Soap performs best when bloomed and it likes a lot of water added a little at a time.

Greetings,

The Parker 99R/Treet Carbon blade was a superb indian made duo,
resulting in a effortless 3 pass + pick ups DFS with no errors to report.

My face was feeling super smooth after the 2nd pass to be honest, and could have finished my shave with a pick up pass, but i carried on purely for the sheer pleasure, and to use up the wonderful lather the Arko stick had created upon my face.

Finishing the shave off with a very generous splash of Old Spice Classic aftershave.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.
