Blade: Astra SP #1
Razor: Gillette slim Aristocrat L4
Brush: Saponificio Varesino 2.0 Rosewood
Bowl: Saponificio Varesino The Grail
Soap: WSP Sandalwood.
Post: Alum & BBA PSB
EDT: Joop

A wonderful shave using the super efficient (soap smudged ) Slim Adjustable set at #7 throughout my 3 pass shave.
The brush is truly amazing. Superb flow through cloud soft tips and credible backbone.
WSP is an American artisan soap that I find lacks a little cushion but makes up for it with its slickness and post shave feel.

Enjoy your shaves! :)
Beautyful shot Sir. The SV 2.0 is a stunning brush.

Evening shave.

BBA Face Wash
De Vergulde Hand
Thäter 4125/2 (face lather)
Gibbs No.15
Gillette Nacet (1)
Nivea 2 Phase Aftershave/Balm

Another excellent shave with the Gibbs. Smooth and efficient on setting 4, and helped along with some aplomb by the rather good soap. I'm refreshed and relaxed after a trying day.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + Body Shop Maca Root face wash and Proraso White
Razor: Occam's 3 dot plate/cap
Blade: Feather ProGuard (#2)
Brush: Maseto 24mm Extra Density 2 Band Finest
Soap: Lea Sensitive
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm

Third and best shave with the Occam's, switching to the Feather Guard blade seemed to be a good match. Very smooth shave and result, maybe I am just adjusting to the Occam's razor.

Wednesday...

Soap - The Fat
Brush - RazoRock Disrupter 22mm
Face lather
Razor - PAL Injectomatic
Blade - Schick Proline B
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Balm - BBA

Well, so much for leaving my newly acquired Injectomatic for the weekend; I couldn't wait.

I would imagine that another blade, maybe a Chinese Schick for instance, would render this little bugger a harsh shaver. The Proline, however, made it an amazingly efficient, smooth performer. It feels good in the hand too and verrrry comfortable on the face when it's doing the business.

I've read elsewhere that some peeps find this razor too mild. Not a bit of it for me. Mileage in mind, I find it more efficient (aggressive, if you will) than either of my Schicks: G8 and E3.

A definite keeper, then, and if this shave is anything to go by it will be my most efficient/aggressive Injector.

Amazing post shave feel from the Fat and BBA to finish. Did I mention I really like this razor?

Every time I use the Injectomatic I'm shocked by how efficient it is. Marvellous little thing isn't it?

OSP Bay Rum
Rocca R96
Polsilver SI - #1
YaQi 2-band

After purchasing some Polsilvers, I thought I'd rummage around and take one for a drive while I wait for them to be delivered. After all, they are the TSR blade of the year! I think I prefer Nacet blades but these are really only marginally behind. 2 passes and touch ups and I'm smooth! Happy days.

Who's next?

Sotd - Wednesday 17/1/18

Razor - Megress (3.5)
blade - Super Max SP (2)
brush - Wee Scot LE
soap - Haslinger Sheep
post - witch hazel
a/s - Floid Vigoroso SE
balm - Real Shaving Co. moisturiser.

Result - I really enjoyed that.

Restorative shave needed tonight. It's been a bit snowy the last couple of days - not so bad today but impressively heavy at times yesterday. Enough anyway, for the public infrastructure to grind to a halt. Snowing in Scotland - in January - who'd have thought it? Very pretty but a bit of a bummer if you are trying to take pictures - beyond a certain size of snow flake it starts to upset the auto focus in your cameras - the sensors start to think that the flakes are moving objects that it ought to be paying attention to and horrible confusion ensues. The lenses start to 'hunt' from end to end. Let's not even start on what snow does to your flash metering. It's not great for my skin either. So - stand in a hot shower for half an hour and then try to batter as much moisture back into my face as possible. Step forward the Haslinger sheep - and of course the Wee Scot to match the diminutive puck. I love this brush - a nice bit of scritch to help with exfoliation - and beautifully precise in face lathering - as opposed to being lowered head first into a 30mm Maseto silver tip knot - which is nice too, just in a different way. It was mentioned earlier in the week by someone using the brush that he found that he had to reload between passes. In my experience this has never been an issue for me. Granted, two passes will do me these days but I still find myself rinsing quite a lot of lather out of the knot when I am finished. Enough for a third pass should I want to. For me, it's a brush worth trying if you haven't already. A generous splash of the Vigoroso SE - the one with even more menthol in it - and finishing off with moisturiser over the whole face - not just the shaven bit. Job done - my skin feels good. Nicely hydrated, soft, smooth - and I have a full range of facial expressions back again. Nice - enjoy your shaves one and all - yours - I.
