SOTD: Saturday 13th January - Friday 19th January 2018.

Today, a relaxing & unscented shave! Some days my skin is worse than others, so is good to help it a bit... This Pacific shaving cream is quite decent and the Korres balm is simply some of the best stuff I have found to calm & soothe my poor & irritated skin....

BTW, what I wonderful thing is this Zenith horse extrasoft special edition... So soft tips with good backbone without entangling issues... Will post a small review about it one day....

Special final mention to this frankenrazor: I have found that the combination of an aggressive Rapira tech type head paired with a light aluminium Lord handle (which I discovered some years ago because of Fido user) is a winner! I get really close shaves without irritation, thanks to the perfect manoeuvrability of this thing, light and very easy to adjust the right position & pressure against the face.

Sunday 14th January 2018
Prep: Shower
Razor: Unnamed French
Blade: Helestrand
Brush: Semogue OC Boar
Soap: Tabac
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDP: L'Instant de Guerlain

I am using a few of my non synthetic brushes that these days get little or no use, the more different ones I use the more I am convinced that I do prefer the synthetics, not for any ethical reason, I just prefer the way they perform. I really should consider unloading some of them, especially the boars.

Regards
Dick.

A relaxing sunday 3 pass + pick up silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

The Gillette Silver Blue / Gillette Tech was a superb match, smooth sharp and efficient, it's amazing that a 40+ year old razor can still perform with such ease. Superb.

The supermax cream provided me with a wonderful slick protective lather for the shave, which made the shave very pleasurable,a wonderful cream.

Finishing the shave off in style with a very generous splash of boots~freshwood A/S,followed by a few squirts of Oud ~ 24 hours EDP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your sunday, ladies & gentlemen.

Razor ~ Tartara Masamune ( Closed Comb )
Blade ~ Lodz Poland Polsilver Stainless (NOS)
Soap ~ Barrister And Mann - Leviathan
Brush ~ Omega boar 011829
Post ~ Antica Barbieria Colla Aftershave

Another top shave with the Pass Around razor, I can't fault this razor at all, it's perfect! My first use of the aftershave balm/ milk and it is very good indeed, alcohol free and is absorbed into the skin quickly leaving it feeling soothed and supple, I like it very much.
Finnished of with a spray of the wonderful Shalimar and I'm good to go!

Shavemac Americana D01 Silvertip
Gillette Tech
Personna Platinum Chrome (1) (Red Wrapper)
Stirling Soaps Christmas Eve
Thayers Rose, Nivea Balm & Cerutti 1881 Men

What a great shave, everything just worked. A voluminous lather whipped up between the Shavemac and Stirling, I love this scent and will happily use it through the year, a scent is for life not just Christmas :D

This is the best shave I have had with a Gillette Tech, the combination just worked perfectly. This blade is the same branding as the Personna PC in the blue packet, I assume they are the same blades in different packaging? No issues at all with the shave.
