Spring may not have sprung but a bit of sunshine was a good excuse to break out the lime.
And over 30hrs without a shave was a good excuse to break out the very efficient E2.
Both good calls and the V-L brush is loosing it's scritch, a very enjoyable shave was had.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Alt Innsbruck Emulsion
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE 2017 Platypus
Soap: Declaration Grooming Trimegistus
Razor: UFO Goliath / ATT SE1
Blade: Schick Proline P-30 (1)
Post: Alt Innsbruck Emulsion
Scent: Terre D'Hermes EDT

Don't think I will bloom the Declaration soap in the jar again - it is quite soft, and hence went a bit mushy. Nothing that a quick bit of lathering in the Little Wren bowl couldn't fix. This soap is thirsty and very, very slick. Three passes for a DFS+ shave, and a very nice post-shave feel. The scent of the soap is very similar to Terre D'Hermes, making the scent choice obvious.

Now for a little tune dedicated to my simian pals, @Blademonkey and @Digimonkey :

Tue 17th April

RazoRock Syn. 24mm
Cyril Salter Solid Soap
ATT SE1 + Windrose Handle
Schick Proline ( 1 )
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

Have recently had 15 good Shaves with a Proline in the ATT. SE1, so it is a good combo for me.Have now loaded up with a fresh blade, and immediately was aware of the need to to take care during the Shave.
With a good lather the Shave was nice and smooth, and I avoided any mishap. The completed Shave was pleasingly close all round which was good as I had to don a suit today, as sadly another Funeral to attend.

Badger brush
MWF
Fat handle tech
Nos Wilkinson sword blades. Very kindly sent by Adam. @Bizzyberry , Thanks again Adam
TOBS sandalwood aftershave

Having tried these blades a few years ago, my opinion is the same. Fantastically smooth shave and sharp and they last a while. The last ones i had, easily 2 weeks
First blade had a little rust spot near the tabs, the cutting edge was fine. The rest don't look to have any issues with rust at all
all in all, like a Fantastic English breakfast, A fantastic English shave. :):)
(Bu66er apart from the brush, although it was from traditional shaving. Does that count)

Wonderful 3 passes tonight leading to a BDBSS. Very happy with my Herder - it's an absolute beauty.

Soho Joe Original Face Wash
JR168 tuxedo synthetic
D R Harris Arlington soap
F. Herder 77 square point
A little alum, and
Pinaud Clubman After shave lotion

Been using my maseto brush a lot recently and I love it, but my JR tonight was something else! Totally different feel to a badger but equally good in all areas.
