The 13120 was my travel brush of choice for quite a while - before even I had to accept that a synth is better suited to - shave - pack up - move on - to the next place - shave - move on again. They don't cost much - and available from the lovely Juan at Gifts and Care. Wee Scot sized. Yours - I.

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by warm water splash.
Cream - OSP Barber Shop.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2, Synthetic.
Bowl - Little Wren Pottery.
Razor - Rex Ambassador.
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (Day 1).
Post shave - Cold water splash; followed by OSP Barbour Shop, finished off with Ibiza Aloe Aloe Vera Gel.

I have had some excellent shaves this week with the Muhle R41, sadly I have not had that much Internet time.

A great shave today, the Rex felt very smooth and efficient, when loaded with the Gillette Silver Blue. A 3 pass shave face with 2 passes on the neck - BBS finish, with no issues to report.

I hope that everyone is having a good week,

All the best,

Chris

CheersI I, they're beauts but no more brushes for a while.
Synthetics are the practical travel solution but unfortunately they upset my skin and I enjoy using the wee brushses every now and again.
Cheers,
Kevin.

Thursday 19th April

OSP Barbershop
RazoRock 400
Rockwell 6C plate 4
PolSilver SI (2)
Lime witch hazel
Myrsol Lemon

Second cold shave on the trot.
It was very refreshing after a days work in the sun.
I think the cold water affects my lather, it wasn't as thick or cushioning ?
Still a good shave

Brush: Omega S10083
Cream: Edwin Jagger Limes & Pomergranate
Razor: Vigshaving combination head (safety bar side) on RazoRock bamboo SS handle
Blade: Treet Silver (Carbon steel) (1)

I found an old hand cream tub that my wife had at the back of the bathroom cabinet, and thought that would be good to decant my Edwin Jagger cream into, and lather up in. With hindsight this wasn't my greatest idea, but I had plenty of lather for today's shave. I'll go back to face lathering with this one, I think.

I probably could have stretched the Bolzano for a fifth shave, but neither of us would have enjoyed it particularly. I felt very self-indulgent taking a brand new blade for a Friday shave, but then that's one of the things our little hobby's about, isn't it?

Enjoy your weekends!
