It never ceases to amaze me just how talented some forum members are.
@Steven_Jagger not only worked out that the thread of the Gibbs handle wasn't a modern readily available one but managed to lay his hands on the appropriate tool and threaded the brass insert himself.
He then turned this beautiful handle to match the equally beautiful brush.
Steven, consider my hat well and truly doffed.

That's beautiful, very talented indeed[emoji108]

I know you didn't ask me but imo it is a fantastic brush.
I even had @Steven_Jagger make me a badger brush designed around it.
See sotd above.
I absolutely love mine. The knot the handle the face feel everything.
Thanks for the feedback he did a good job on the brush too.
I'm downsizing my brushes but this one will be staying right by my side along with my 80266. Omega make the best boar knots imo.

Thursday 20th December

Pears Glycerine Soap
Vitos Preshave Cream
MWF Shaving Soap with added 'All Spice' EO
Omega 10098 Boar Brush
Turkish Copper Bowl
Ikon X3 with a Gillette 7 O'clock SharpEdge
Alum Block and Rinse
Witch Hazel
Palmers for Men Moisturiser
Benjamins Bay Rum with Pimento

An unexpected day off work and a late shave due to a builder repairing recent damage to guttering and the roof.
I had a good shave but didn't enjoy bowl lathering the MWF. I just feel I have more control when face lathering with it.

Omega are my favourite boars too and the 11137 my favourite of those, but I haven't tried a Zenith yet.

Thur 20th Dec.
RazoRock Syn.24mm
P & B Citra Royale
Schick N3
Schick Twin -Japan [ 7 ]
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

The N3 is one of my favourite Razors taking a Twin Blade, as it feels great in the hand and normally delivers a great Shave. Today I was not to happy with the overall finish, as probably due to lapse of concentration some areas were left with some
stubble. Pleased to say that is a rare occurrence these Days.

Jayaruh #289 - Wickham 1912/Scottish Heather - Schick G1 w/Jayaruh Handle - Schick Proline B #7 - Alum - Irisch Moos A/S - Dove Nourishing Cream

More than happy with todays shave.

I've been away from the forum for a few weeks while I recovered from a nasty bout of Labyrinthitis [No, I hadn't either!] during which time shaving was quite a perfunctory activity.

But back to proper shaving now. Really missed it.

Tonight's menu featured:

Prep: Nivea sensitive face wash
Pre: Proraso white preshave
Brush: TSC Pure Badger
Soap: Arko stick (face lathered)
Razor: EJ DE89 Kelvin
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Post: Cold Water rinse - Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel
ASL: Duru Lemon Cologne
ASB: Nivea Sensitive

Comfortable and close. Feels like luxury after recent experiences.

Cheers
Steve
