The LPL soap was outstanding in both performance and scent, the Sabre fitted out with a fresh blade gave me the closest of shaves while still being smooth, BBA PSB for winter protection of my skin followed by a spray or two of the wonderful Santal Royal by Guerlain on my pulse points and I was perfectly shaven and smelling fantastic! :)

My choice of soap today was inspired by @Blademonkey, Paul's earlier post.
I don't often use this soap but it's a very good performer. Residual slickness is very good, and the scent is very nice
A very comfortable shave this morning. Everything worked well, and my face is left velvety smooth and free from irritation
Mr Perfume oil to the wrists and behind the ears and I'm ready for the day.

I have just ordered that soap ( yesterday ) I hope it will be as good as it sounds :) P.

nice shave first time iv tried a lord blade this morning it was ok a lot like the shark ss but not as sharp it did start to smooth out on the second pass and feel a lot better I will see what its like in the next shave I expect it to feel great , seems like ages since i used a boar brush iv been mainly using synthetics and badgers for weeks the 820 is a great brush it lathered the la toja soap on my face with ease , finished my shave of with floid aftershave so my face feels so smooth and I'm smelling great .....

It was great using the Sabre again, delivered by the postie this morning, along with a bar of Neutrogena facial soap, many thanks Mike (@mpf9ret ).
The soap's really nice but trying to place the smell is bugging me, I know I've smelt it before, unfortunately my memory fails me yet again.
Anyway, a very satisfying Saturday shave ensued, have a great weekend everyone.

I had an earlier pre night shift shave than I am accustomed to. The Proraso Wood and Spice had a wonderful scent and the whole shave was finished with a splash of TOBS Sandalwood Cologne.
Two passes with some touchup for a BBS shave which (I hope) will keep me respectable until tomorrow afternoon! :)
