Thursday

Been a while, chaps; sometimes life gets in the way, especially just now. Anyways...

Soap - Santa Maria Novella
Brush - RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Face lather
Razor - Feather Artist Club SS
Blade - Feather Professional
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
After shave - Proraso M&E

Just confirming that the Feather is at its best when dealing with a substantial amount of whiskers (in my case 4 day's worth). I even managed an XTG pass. So, 3 passes and a buffing.

All good. Smooth. And no weepers.

Should I not grace the hallowed forum before the shenanigans, may I wish all you and yours a safe and peaceful Yuletide; and offer my thanks for all your advice and enabling during 2017.

Stephen.

I bought this razor from a fellow member and it came with a couple of blades, so I unwrapped one. It looked good and was still covered in a film of oil. A quick check with a magnifying glass, a rinse under the hot tap and away I went.
For a 73 year old blade in a 78 year old razor, the shave was pretty good, it struggled with the grey hairs a bit, but no more than some modern blades.
A two and a half pass DFS was the result, and the Schick I1 on standby could stand down.
After a restless nights sleep, broken by a rasping cough, decongesting fumes were the order of the day. The Simpsons cream and the Alcolado played their roles well.
