SOTD . SATURDAY 21st JULY - FRIDAY 27th JULY 2018.

~SOTD~

Prep ~ Shower, Sheep & Donkey Milk Soap
Razor ~ Blackland ~ Dart
Blade ~ Polsiver - Lodz Poland
Soap ~ Stirling ~ Glastonbury ( Mutton Tallow)
Brush ~ Zeniith - 502BK Manchurian Badger
Post ~ Thayers / Jojoba oil
Scent ~ Christian Dior - Leather Oud

Wow what a shave, the Blackland Dart is for me as near perfect as it going to get, I stuck with my favourite blade because it seems to work in anything, the Polsilver out of the Lodz factory in Poland.
Now NOS but can still be bought from a supplier,..
If I had to discribe the dart I would say it was a grown up R41, its ultra efficient and you could do a one pass shave and out the door. I love it, tomorrow I'm sticking my Sabre handle on the Dart head.
The brush had its first proper use today and I'm most impressed with it and it will get better with use, a dense knot with loads of backbone and tips that will get softer over time.
after my perfect close and comfortable shave I did my useal post shave routine followed by a few sprays of Leather Oud a perfectly good way to finnish a wonderful shave.

Wishing you all a very day....P.View attachment 37334. @Blackmass

Firstly thanks for the tag Paul.:)

I knew you'd love the Dart. I'll be using the Dart again later. I'll try a Polsilver in it too.

Good news (and a sense of relief on my behalf if I'm being totally honest) you like the brush. It does loosen up a little but not much. It's the densest brush I own but it still has great flow through. There is a little scritch, which hasn't lessened over time.

Cheers
Rob

Pre-Shave: SebaMed, cold water
Razor: Guerrilla
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Paladin Lotus
Lather: Stirling Bay Rum
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Friday 27th July AM

8th DE shave

Prep: Shower, Nivea Facial Wash then Nuage shaving oil
Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
Brush: ES Medium Jock synthetic
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge (3)
Post: Warm rinse, cold rinse, Nivea Sensitive Post Shave balm and Next Code Red EDT

Back to what I know. Used the last of the TOBS Jermyn Street kindly given by @Blackmass. I'm definitely going to miss it though it will be a future buy.

I wasn't sure how my skin was going to react to shaving every day again, but this is the 3rd day in a row and so far it‘s been relatively trouble free.

Smooth today and absolutely no burn. I can see the difference in my skin after a week and a half.

Also, using a pre-shave is a must for me. The Nuage oil made a difference! I gave the problem area on my neck some more attention and there is a difference....still lots to improve but a lot better.

Hope you are all set for the weekend folks. Have a good one!

Another good budget shave oil you may want to try is Somerset's. It's much better than Nuage. It costs around £3 at regular price but sometimes on offer for around £2 or less.

Who needs to spend how much on a D01! :) I love the brush and the razor has become my number one DE razor, for me it's the closest thing to a Stainless Steel R41, I shall be trying different blades in it over the next week and I think I will be keeping the Sabre handle fixed to It because it looks the business and the handle is just the right size for me. :) Rob you are my number one enabeler, I have many but your number one :) P.

A very nice shave but the blade is on the wane, don't think I'll risk it again.
Happy Shaving one and all.
