Sticking with the travel brush theme, I bought this little best badger from @SeanC and what a smashing example it is, cheers Sean.
I thought it only right and proper to shave with the 1914 after mentioning it in the previous two sotds and it, with the wonderful WK soap, provided a winning Wednesday whisker wemoval pwocedya.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney Polo 2 Ivory Finest #2 (28/60)
Williams Rose shaving soap (vintage)/Bulgarian Rose perfume
Delta Echo Ink Edition Feather AS-D2/Triad Blue Aristocrat Titanium
Personna Super Stainless (6)
Houbigant Yama aftershave (vintage)

I have learned how much of the Bulgarian Rose to use, a balance with enough fragrance for the lather but not enough to irritate my skin. The Super Stainless blade is not quite as smooth as the 74 Tungsten, but it is quite good, and at shave six it has not started to drag at all. And the Yama has become a favorite, with some of the same powdery barbershop notes as Floris No. 89 and Mennen Skin Bracer.

Lovely 2 pass shave this morning; could not find my pack of Kai DE blades :-( However, loaded up with a Astra SP, and all was good. A smooth and efficient shave DFS+ with no issues to report.

It has been a while since I have used the Cade shave cream - lovely stuff!

PS does anyone believe the best before 6/12 months labels on shave creams/soaps?

All the best,

Chris

If the soap / cream looks ok and smells ok it should be ok :)
I have Old Spice soap that must be 35-40 year's old and although most of the fragrance has long gone the soap is as good as it ever was.
European directives are just there to cover manufacturer's backsides and to sell more product! :)

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Hot shower:/ Nivea Men ~ Cool Kick Shower Gel.

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Wilkinsons Fruits ~ Coconut & Vanilla Body Butter.

Brush: Omega 10077.

Bowl Lather.

Soap: Derby Shave Stick (Disk).

Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack.(2)

Razor: Yingjili (Chinese Tech) .

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Alum Block./Cold Water Face Rinse./ Lemon+Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture/Aloe Vera Gel.

Benjamins~ Mentholated Bay Rum A/S Lotion.

Oud ~ 24 Hours EDP.

Greetings,
A very early start for me today, it's my turn to start up at the mill..needs must, i'm afraid....

This inexpensive shave set up today was excellent, the yingjili razor performed superbly with the g.w.s. saloon pack blade,a very deceptive looking razor, that delivers a efficient performance.

It just goes to show, even with inexpensive shaving products you can still get a dfs.

Another very enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of ~ benjamins mentholated bay rum a/s lotion, & a few liberal squirts of oud ~ 24 hours to the chest & pulse points.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Shaved head and face today. Soap Le Père Lucien cyprès boisé, manchurian badger brush the Druid, vintage straight razor J. A. Henkels Solingen Zwillingswerk Friodur 6/8, after shave Myrsol agua balsamica. I love the citrus and "elegant" aroma of this soap, accompanied by this good badger and the hand of Henkels and Myrsol achieved a good shave with hair and beard for 5 days, is when you notice the superiority of the straight razor.
