A very good shave today.
My SE gateway razor performed like a dream (as usual) on a great smelling bed of cushiony, slick, P&B lather.

My first ever shave with a Schick injector. At this point all I can say is: great. For me way better experience than modern AC SE razors (I have Hawk v1 and General aluminum).

Soap - Le Pere Lucien Cedar & Patchouli

First time using LPL, and the scent was truly exceptional - the strong scent of cedar made me think of a guitar I had on loan which was made from very lovely Cedar wood. LPL's lather didn't have as much cushion as I expected but it was very slick but a superb lather nonetheless. Sadly it didn't seem to sit on my face that well and I had a fair bit of post shave irritation, it's a something I have noticed for 'boutique' soaps I have tried be it for the OSP, Nannys, Wickhams too - which is a real shame as those lathers are some of the very best, I think my face doesn't favour the essential oils used.
The combination of the Yaqi DOC and the Polsilver SI was incredible, one of the smoothest and most efficient combinations I have stumbled across.

During a fleeting moment of madness, I was going to take up the gauntlet thrown down by @Digimonkey: combining Denali, Floïd Mentally Vigorous and Alcolado Glacial. I resisted such an apocalypse, however; given a toddle to the shops with Mrs Scotshave is imminent (as is another squall, apparently).
A lovely lather from Iain's kindly donated sample of Denali, which is still doing well; although its menthol punch is diminishing. This is probably due to it being squidged into a small Omega shaving bowl without a lid; and that it's getting regular use. Lovely post-shave feel, though.
Glorious performance from my English 1912 and Gem. BBS and pleasantly cool.

and that's all she wrote!!! Finished off both the Solaris and Whitewater. My second P&B soap, and my favourite. Sadly discontinued but hopefully it will return again one day, wonderful scent. Luckily I have a back up somewhere in my cupboard. Likewise the Whitewater.
Impressed by the brush, although the loft is a little high it did a good job eating up the remaining soap and made a beautiful lather. The blade was good, solid blades these, not top tier but better than some I have tried.

Using one of my favourite SE Vintage razor and the great pair up that is the Gem blade I had a wonderful 3 pass irritation free shave.
