Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Hot shower:/ Cien ~ Pure Fragrance free Bath Soap Body Wash. & Vosene Shampoo.


Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.


Wilkinsons Fruits ~ Coconut & Vanilla Body Butter.

Brush: Chinese Synthetic.

Bowl Lather.

Soap: Palmolive Shave Stick (Disk).

Blade: Sputnik Teflon Coated.(2)

Razor: Pearl SBF-11.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Alum Block./Cold Water Face Rinse./ Bulldog~ Original A/S Balm.


Benjamin's~ Mentholated Bay Rum.

A very enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report..The second use of the Sputnik TC blade, was a joy to shave with, no tuggyness.

The palmolive shave stick is such a versatile superb soap,it's shaving performance matches other soaps 10x it's cost price, this has to be one of the best shaving products ever produced.A sublime product.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Benjamin's ~ Mentholated Bay Rum.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

I always try to factor in a MWF shave occasionally....just to remind myself just how good a soap it is. I am a sucker for interesting packaging which means it is often bypassed for something which looks more interesting.

3 passes for a superbly smooth shave:)

Thursday shave

One day's growth and warm shave

Preparation – Showered then face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood Shaving Cream
Razor: Rockwell 6C (4P)
Blade: Dorco Stainless (New Platinum) (4th)
Brush: RazoRock 400 (face lather)

Post Shave: Hot then cold water rinse, Alum, Nivea 2 Phase followed by Michael Kors EDT.

Day 4

I approached today's shave with much apprehension. But that darn TOBS slickness again masked much of the Dorco's shortcomings. I did get a few weepers and get a load of burn from both the Alum and Nivea 2 Phase. Does this blade take 4 shaves to settle in. . . well I am one shaver who will not wait that long before getting a comfortable shave.

My shave was OK, but nowhere near as nice as the first shave and not close to BBS. I am happy to be putting this blade down for today and giving my skin a rest.

So, after all that rambling, here is my new rankings:

Nice shave today. I have to say, though, being used to SE and OC razors, I find my closed comb DE razors slightly timid. Even with the Red Tip; allegedly one of the more assertive Gillettes, I had to work just that wee bit harder for the finish that I'm accustomed to. Still, all good though; especially with the OSP post-shave feel.

Thursday's SOTD

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, warm water splash.
Razor - Hone 15.
Blade - Kai Stainless Steel (DE) (Day 4).
Soap - The Gentleman's Groom Room Sweet Gale Traditional Shaving Soap.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Synthetic.
Post shave - Cold Water Splash, followed by Myrsol "Metilsol" Astringent After Shave and Ibiza-Aloe Aloe Vera Gel.

An excellent shave with the Hone this morning, a razor, which I have always enjoyed has got better, paired with the Kai SS blade :)

Its been a while since I have used the Sweet Gale soap, I love the smell when you open the lid, and I find that this gives great glide.

Nivea phase 2 to finish off ( new too me )

Soap was wow preformed as well as others in my stable at half the cost scent pleasant not to strong can't say much more than that. Nivea phase 2 leaves skin feeling great and at the price well what can I say
