SOTD . SATURDAY 28th JULY - FRIDAY 3rd AUGUST 2018.

SOTD Sunday July 2018.

Pre-shave: Epsom sals bath; face wash Musgo Real Classic Glycerin Oil Soap and cold water splash.
Cream: Wickhans 1912 Club Cola.
Brush: Simpsons Duke 2 Pure Badger.
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery.
Razor: Blackland Sabre L2.
Blade: Gem PTFE (Day 1).
Post: Cold water splash and Myrsol Plastic.

After some great shaves with the Rocnel-SE, I decided to load up the Sabre L2. :)

A most excellent shave - 3 passes: WTG, XTG and ATG. A degree of sting when I applies the Myrsol Plastic, I had expected to see some irratation. Truth be told the third pass was not needed. However, no issues :) A BBS finish.

I find the Sabre L2 to be slightly more efficient/aggressive than the Rocnel-SG. However, the advantage of the Sabre L2 is you don't need to hone off a few mm each side of the razor blade.

The Club Cola and the Myrsol Plastic were a good choice: skin felt amazing during and after the shave.

All the best,

Chris

Schick F
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Puig Quorum A/S Lotion

Beginning to be a bit of a Sunday Morning ritual using the Type F. This time used a Proline blade, and am not sure that it as effective as the Japanese Schick.Had a long day in London hence the late report, but pleased to note how the Shave resulted in less dense growth 24hours on.

A mild and fresh shave! Voskhod in a 37C is a gentle combo, great for the weekend. I am not a huge fan of this Mike's scent but the performance is not questionable. Finished with a superb Fine splash.

Razor: Merkur 37C
Blade: Voskhod
Brush: Stirling Synthetic 24mm
Soap: Mike's Barbershop
Post: Fine Fresh Vetiver

~SOTD~

Prep ~ Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap
Razor ~ Blackland ~ Dart
Blade ~ Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS) thanks to @Dobbo25
Soap ~ Dusy Kabinett
Brush ~ TSN 2018 LE Boar brush
Post ~ Thayers Rose Petal / Jojoba Oil
Scent ~ Christian Doir - Oud isphahan

Yet another shave from the Dart using New old stock blades kindly given to me by @Dobbo25.
I have come to a couple of conclusions whilst doing this,.....The Dart is a cracking razor alright I didnt like the stock handle but that was an easy fix and it's still a Blackland handle.

Back in the 60s, 70s & 80s we had some cracking blades on offer and on their first use they have been very good indeed. I will be testing them for longevity ect in due course but I suspect they will do very well there too.
Today's shave was like the others, smooth and comfortable and have left me with a finnish that is super smooth to the touch and will remain that way for most of the day if my other shaves were anything to go by.
The more I use this the more I feel I'm shaving with a Stainless Steel R41, there will be others that will disagree but that's no bad thing either because my feelings about this razor will not change now and different oppinions are good too :)

The Brush and Soap were top notch, some people will say they can not tell the difference between Klar Kabinett and Dusy Kabinett, while it is a very good soap I can tell the difference but I will save that particular discussion for another time, a good soap none the less.
I finnished off this wonderful shave with a wonderful Scent....Oud Ispahan by Christian Dior, one of my favourite fragrances

Have a good day people....P .

Another fine example of James' (@Acer89) craftsmanship, cheers James, she's absolutely stunning, I almost had to wear shades.
I find the Treet blade and the R2 to be a brilliant combination, giving an incredibly smooth shave and both did their part in getting my week off to a flying start.
Happy Shaving one and all.

RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
OSP Bay Rum
Schick J3- Golden 500
Schick Single - Japan - [ 2 ]
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

Regarded as a mild Razor, I really like the Golden 500 as it shaves so smoothly and I think quite efficiently, especially with the Japanese Schick. An extremely pleasant Shave with an excellent close finish. Now have to make up my mind about what to take whilst away for a few days. In UK I tend to take 2 Razors, One Short & One
long handle as bathroom conditions vary.
