Rockwell 6S
Feather (3)
Proraso Red Shaving Cream
BBA Post Shave Balm & Proraso Red Aftershave

Finally got a good shave from the Feather blade, did the usual passes on my face but only a single pass on my neck, want to give it a rest from the previous two butchers. Again any blade seems to work with the Rockwell, the Feather and Krona is not a combo for me. A good lather with the Proraso, always works well for me. A pleasant sandalwood scent and unlike ToBS Sandalwood cream it doesn't burn me!

R89/Colossus/Kai
Gentlemen's Tonic cream
Muhle synthetic brush

Being as my Shaving gear at the moment remains exactly the same as my previous two SOTD's I have dedicated the photo to the only item which has changed. The amazing, the wonderful and all stubble removing Kai blade.

For my first years of returning to DE I couldn't see any further than Feather blades. That was until a number of samples were kindly forwarded to me including five of these babes. These Kai blades are really well suited to the 89 and a tug free, irritation free shave has always been the end result.

I really like the fact the blades give no indication as to the manufacturer and the packaging not that far off the same. A minimalist approach to branding. Great

Wonderful shave this afternoon and feeling good.

Love Kai, love my shave

Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
OSP Barbershop Aftershave Tonic

I think (that's) nine straight days on which I have had a shave and I have enjoyed every one. A far cry from the days, not that long ago, when I would carefully plan my week so as to have as few shaves as possible with the dreaded electric thingy or plastic cart. Plus, of course, I have saved loads of money. Cheers chaps.

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap wash followed by warm water splash.
Soap- Cella Crema da Barba Mandorla.
Brush - Muhle Purist, Silvertip Fibre.
Bowl - Face :).
Razor - Colonial the General SS.
Blade - Schick Proline P-30 (day 5?).
Post shave - OSP Neroli.

One of those rare mornings when SWMBO and I were up at the same time; by the time the bathroom was available for my use, there was not much time left to get showered and shaved. Quelle surprise :)

I was going to shave again with the Rex Ambassador, however, I decided that I did not have enough time. The Colonial SS was loaded with a Schick Proline, so I decided to go for a 2 pass shave with the SE with the idea in my mind that I would save some time, over a DE shave.

Again, with speed in mind, I went for the Cella and a face lather; what a choice - for me and I appreciate that YMMV, Cella whips up into a great lather in next to no time - great glide and protective qualities.

A noticibly quicker shave using a SE razor compared with the DE - without compromising safety or the quality of the shave. 2 passes with a DFS + BBS - finish.

No quibbiles about the result; although I must admit that a three pass DE shave, on recent experiences was more enjoyable. That said I needed to get out of the house, some important meetings at work today, so I was very happy that I made my lift in time, looking presentable for work. On reflection I felt quite lucky that I have a range of shaving kit in my den and the freedom to make a choice.

Skin still feels good some 14 hours after shaving, and the OSP Neroli seemed to linger into the afternoon :)

SWMBO has a day off tomorrow - if I can get up and a decent hour and don't arse around in the morning, I should have time for a relaxed 3 pass DE shave.

All the best,

Chris
