SOTD: 12/8/2016 - "Noah & Spyce"

Pre: Hot shower
Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Noah L'Orange"
Brush: Brushguy Shave Supplies "Noah" 3-band Silvertip
Razor: Phoenix Shaving Stainless DOC Evolution w/ Feather HS blade (1)
Post: Royall Lyme Bermuda Ltd. "Royall Spyce"

After some discussion last night about what next year's Noah soap will be, I realized I hadn't given this one much love lately. The more I use it, the more I love it. Cypress up front and Citrus in the back. I finally threw caution to the wind and ran a Feather in the DOC. No blood! Amazing! Granted, I was being exceptionally careful, but was rewarded with a great finish. Oh, and Royall Spyce pairs SO nicely with the soap. It was awesome.

Be smooth and shave it up, everyone!

Omega 11126 boar
Haslinger Honig soap
PAL Golden Injecto Matic
Schick NOS S/S [ 4 - Dutch ]
Alum Rub/Rise off
Myrsol Antesol A/S lotion

After Four days of shaving with a Modern SE [ Claymore ] , I decided to revert to one of my favourite vintage Injectors- a PAL Injecto Matic. What a huge difference in weight and size of head , but once started the shave was equally as smooth
as yesterday, but due to the weight differential I had to be aware of avoiding applying pressure to the razor. Overall the
quality of finish attained was similar to yesterday, though it perhaps took a bit longer as the PAL covered a smaller area with each Stroke.

Very pleased with the choice of a small brush, as it with ease whipped up a good lather directly from the soap in its original container.Though I do not over indulge myself in soaps, I am very tempted to get some more of this excellent soap, most likely the Sheep`s milk.

I just wanted to use as many different brands as I could for todays shave. With Christmas getting closer there's a fantastic variety of shaving stuff out there to choose from.

Long time since my last post as haven't been well the last few weeks, but now I'm back in action!

For tonight's shave, I'm using one of my new goodies from Maggard Razors (LOVING the new shipping costs but it's just too damn easy to buy stuff!)

Razor: Mekur 34C
Blade: Feather (1)
Brush: Maggard Razors 26mm synth - granite handle
Soap: Mikes Barbershop
Post: Cold Water

Dolphin Smooth!! My first mikes soap, and won't be my last! I've also splurged this month on a Gillette Slim (currently nestled under me tree :)) as my Fatboy search isn't going too well (lost out to at least 6 on eBay now! :() well as they say, if it's for you, it won't pass you by!

Hope all you gents are good!

Razor: Gillette Red Tip A-4 1955
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (1)
Brush: WDC-8 w/ TGN Finest
Soap: First Canadian Shave Soap Co. Bay Rum/Lime (Sample)
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Bay Rum

Luckily ended up with a very close shave tonight after not getting a great lather. I don't think I added enough soap to the bowl and didn't realize it until I was almost finished. User error. :)
I was however very happy with the blade and of course my Red Tip. Finished off with Captain's Choice Bay Rum.
