Inspired by Northern Italy, my visit to my wine merchant provided me with a few bottles for the warmer weather.

    Chiaretto - Bardolino DOC
Chiaretto - Riviera del Garda Classico DOC
    Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG
    Non DOC Durello Spumante

What do you enjoy for a summer tipple?
Pimms? Sipsmith Summer Cup? Moscato d'Asti? Prosecco? John Smith's?

Sangiovese ... bursting with sunshine! Sicilian only. Until I discovered Maltese, that is, which has a very similar terroir to Sicily.

  6. Inspired by Northern Italy ehh?

    Aperol + Tonic

  7. Strong, dry still cider >7%
Pimms trad style; lemonade, strawberries, cucumber and mint.
Dry Sherry or white Port with tonic
    Lashings of icy cold lager.

Would all come before wine for me, unless it was Sangria with loads of fruit...or a nice Lambrusco ....with loads of ice.

Lots and lots of Thatcher's cider (preferably the 'Haze' variety).

A nice cold IPA. Nothing too strong that makes your legs go in a different direction to the rest of your body when you stand up. Some of the DIPA and TIPA I love to drink are in the > 8% and therefore have a tendency to make one fall over if drunk too quickly, or when parched!
