Read article on Supply revised Razor. If you have no SE or Injector experience you might be better of with a Vintage one to hone your skills. Of the modern SE The Alu Hawk is cheap and not bad. The Supply is quite heavy and IMHO not a good Razor to learn on.

Are they any good ??? Well, it'll be interesting to find out ... I have one on the way but may be another week or so before it arrives. You can get one directly from https://getsupply.com/products/the-single-edge-razor. According to another TSRer Maggards had the 2.0 but now it appears they only have Version 1 for sale.

Very good words of advice. I've used Injectors (mainly Schick) on and off many times over the years and always thought they were an excellent concept but held back by the lightness of the razor and poor blade choice. Really looking forward to trying the heavier razor with B-20 blades. May wind up being a disappointment or it could be worth the gamble. Hopefully will find out in the near future.

    Cheers, Micheal

I found out about the maggards source. They have told me it wasn’t supposed to be put up for sale yesterday after some miscommunication with Supply Co. it should be available sooner rather than later, though - as for different colours they’re not sure yet as Supply have apparently said they wish to provide the coloured versions to the backers before letting them loose on wholesale distribution. :)

I also quite like mine. It’s fifferent to any other razor I own, or have owned. Takes a bit of adapting to but once you get it you’ll get some cracking shaves. I agree it may not be for a beginner unless it’s your only razor as the angle/heft etc is quite different to all else currently.

    Hi Michael,
Technically the Supply is an Injector, but by taking the head apart blades can be hand loaded . I have version one and it took me some time to get a good angle. I have a heavy/strong beard and use plate 3. I can get an OK Shave with it loaded with a Proline blade, but that is after a lot of polishing up work. Looks nice enough and feels good in the hand, but to be honest I get a better/easier shave with a PAL Injecto-matic.

  8. It's not going to suit everyone but I've never had much problem with this razor, its true that you can get a great shave from a Pal Injecto-Matic, no doubt, it's a great little razor but if you can find the right angle which isn't that hard even if you had to go through every angle possible it shouldn't take anybody long to find the optimum shaving angle. Imo it's a well built SE if a little heavy and produces good results especially with the B-20 Blades. I prefer to load by hand into the disassembled head simply because I dismantle after every shave for cleaning anyway. If you can not get on with it for any reason you shouldn't have trouble moving in on being the latest model. I'm going to get the latest one in matt black at some point but I'm in no rush as I cannot See the upcoming changes are going to be earth shattering but hopefully enough to warrant buying one. :) Paul.

As long as we are discussing the Supply again, for the umpteenth time, I have been told a twin blade will not fit in a Supply. Can anyone tell me why it won't fit, e.g. too thick or wide? And for the engineers out there, what would need to be done to a Supply to make it fit (and would the modification bugger it up for using regular blades)? Just a curiosity question.

  10. I thought I had answered this question already, the blade will not fit, it is too tall, only by a mm or so but still too big and it is also too thick, to go In without putting undue pressure on the screw. This razor was not designed to take a twin blade and that's all there is to it. :)
You want a Schick Adjustable if you are hell bent on using a twin blade, they were designed to take both twin and single blades but work better with a twin blade.

Yes you could modify both blade and razor but doing this will bugger it for future use of a single blade and void your guarantee to boot! :)

  11. Yeah..A Twin Blade is Not Only Thicker but a Tad Wider..They Can Indeed Knack a Razor that's Not Designed for them..No Bones about it..:D

Thanks for the clarification. I remember you saying it would not fit but was not certain why it wouldn't. Wonder if Supply, once they are a bit better sorted out, might consider making a plate that would take a twin blade (or would it be more than just modifying a plate)? I'm actually not all that bothered about using a twin blade in it (especially if the B-20 works for me), just curious.

  13. Supply have been asked and there are no plans to make a razor that will accomodate a twin blade at the moment.

I believe Supply did once say that users are welcome to try it if they wanted but it didn't particularly work when they tried it in-house. They're confident that the steel is strong enough to withstand any battery from a twin-blade but I wouldn't expect much, personally.

See that my Supply left Fort Worth, Texas about 5AM today. Realize delivery to me is dependent on making several connections but approximately how long does it take to arrive?

Your guess is as good as anyone else’s. I’d estimate around a week and a half to two.
