Tabac Shaving Soap...How do I use it ??

I have been lucky enough to be given a Tabac Original Shaving Soap in its own bowl.

Not sure how to use it but it smells amazing !!

Do I mix it in the bowl then rinse off ? or Do I remove it from the bowl ?

Forgive me I'm absolutely clueless !!

Any tips or advice would be most useful.

Thank You.
Ps I was also given a Bluebeards Revenge Pure Badger Brush as well !! Lucky me !!

Thank you for your replies....I'm used to using Palmolive shave cream but never used a puck before.

I'm seemingly quite proficient with the cream just not 100% sure how to use the soap

My current set up is the Palmolive with a synthetic brush so this is a slight shift to soap and a badger !!

Lather from the bowl
Load it like you hate it for at least minute and any excess water will be dispelled
Wipe the top of the soap with tissue paper when finished

My way:

*Soak brush and shake it to death.
*Drag slightly damp brush around puck for a bit (10s?)
*wet face and face lather.

This way you are not unnecessarily drowning your soaps. You are building the lather on your face, not the bowl. It's less messy as well and doesn't mean you air the puck after you use it. You really do not need much water to pull the soap off the puck.

YMMV obv.

Thank you all...I've just had a shower followed by a wonderful shave.

I lathered from the bowl and it took moments to conjur up some lather.

I followed your instructions using plenty of water and lathered on my face and it came up really well and the glide was the best I've had.

Thanks for your help, it pointed me in the right direction !!

Now, where's the Tabac aftershave I was given as well !!

Lock the doors & windows while shaving with it lest hordes of old women descend upon your house for contract bridge due to the smell. o_O:D;)
I read this post as CONTACT bridge at first, which brought to mind some form of physical impact card game...possibly involving shoulder pads and helmets. A bit like gridiron Whist.

I must regulate my medication...or get some new specs.
