I like Tabac, although scent-wise, it's a bit for the old beaus/silver foxes...

Tabac soap is good, so as the aftershave. The only thing to avoid is the 'Tabac EdT' natural spray, it doesn't smell like Tabac.

Tabac is my favourite soap of all time! Classic scent great lather and the A/S is great too. Go for it! (I believe that Fine Soaps are made by the same company so if you want a Tabc quality soap in a different scent then try Fine).

I seriously doubt that. Why would Mäurer&Wirtz bother with Fine? Do you have a source for that claim?
Fine's website says their soap is 'Made in the Kingdom of the Netherlands' and Tabac is in made in Germany.
Netherlands? De Vergulde Hand comes to mind...

Tabac is the only soap I've ever been able to smell before opening the packaging it was posted in. I love the scent and performance.

Got the stick, not had a bowl yet but I assume the formulation is the same.

I quite like the scent but wouldn't want it to linger, it's nice for the shave though.

I know everyone seems to be going artisan these days buys I quite like the fact that Tabac is an enduring mass market product.

Fine is not made by Tabac.

But Tabac's formula was reverse engineered or at least made to perform like Tabac. I have had a few Fine's and if the scent of Tabac bothers, one could easily go for Fine. They perform IMHO the same, ie. amazing!

It's true when lathered up apart from the scent the lather is just about the same. P.

I've got the soap bowl & a/s superb stuff, i haven't used it for a while, but everytime i shave with it, it's a pleasurable experience.

A favorite winter soap, the scent (particularly geranium element) gets knocked back with hydration.

I had the dish still in the cardboard box until recently, when some 'helpful' soul threw it away while the soap was left out drying. *grumbles*

It's a superb soap..I also find the scent very nice..everyone must try it for performance alone..Plus it's actually very good value. I should really get some more in my den..
