Traveling with straights

Anyone here travel abroad with straights?

Is there any restrictions on planes and airports for straight razors?

I travel a fair bit with business (middle East and Far East) and to date have never had any issues with a straight in my checked in luggage.

I would however only take a cheaper straight when i air travel just in case it became an issue.

One other point always use a pouch for the razor when air traveling to stop it accidentally opening up in your case or bag.

It's ok in the checked in luggage, obviously don't take it with you in your hand luggage!
Even though I love my straight razors I actually just take a safety razor with me if I travel for short weekends with hand luggage only.

What do you do with the blades for your safety razor? Those are not allowed in hand luggage either.
