UK meteorology

Quoting a model summary post from Netweather (I'm going to explain the concept of 'heights' at a later point, but, for now, think of higher heights as equalling higher than average pressure):
To conclude, a more mobile pattern of weather for much of next week seems likely though high pressure remains close to southern areas. Later in the week there are signs of high pressure building back in but the direction and orientation of that development is far from clear. The form horse seems to be heights building to the north west so a cooler spell of weather looks likely but fine for the north and west of the British Isles.
 
Yay for rain! I ended up watering in some lawn fertilizer/weedkiller last week - with a 6.5 litre watering can! Warm work. I asked the landlord if it would be ok if I used the tap in the shed "use your own he said" before showing me where it was hiding behind a bush!

It's not the 'heights' that have me puzzled, it's the 'form horse', but I haven't read the entire thread yet...
