For the sake of completeness, I'll post Dutton's video on the storm:
Twice in ten days? You'll do yourself a mischief at your age.
Not many signs of the storm here, except that we've had a load more rain and it's cloudy, breezy and chilly outside. Everyone else OK?
The ark I'm building is coming on fine , Chris.
Blowy and wet with sunny spells, not all bad in Cornwall.
Catch a wave for me before winter comes.
Disappointing lack of apocalypse at my gaff too, bit of rain and fairly windy but nowt special.
As usual, here's Liam's video on the prospects for the weekend:
Looks like the fire will be on this weekend!
Met Office has a yellow warning for heavy, prolonged rain for SW England and S Wales effective until 0600 hours tomorrow (Sunday):
Bit wet and miserable but not particularly cold at my wilderness outpost.
I spent much of yesterday outside spectating at an historic motorsport event, and was thoroughly annoyed by the frequent but short-lived showers.
Ah me, if only our local showers were " short lived ", rather than so frequent as to be, well, constant rain !
Dutton on a week of gradual improvement, at last until mid-week in the west:
Well today is a stupendous Autumn day bright sunshine and a bit of a mist this morning settling into a more ordinary overcast but still bright afternoon - lovely!
Aren't you the lucky one, then. Sent from the quagmire which surrounds our home.
Apologies for not posting much recently - my health anxiety has been pretty bad. I want to be feeling sufficiently improved to be able to post the next 'lesson' during next week if I can. Anyway, here's Liam Dutton on thw weekend's prospects, with a ridge keeping much of the country reasonably dry:
Take it easy, life is too short, look after you.
Thanks mate. I'm feeling somewhat better today, but still nowhere near where I want to be. Anyway, today's weather here was rather drier and brighter than forecast yesterday.
Good, I'm pleased you are a little better today. The weather down here today has been fantastic, cooling down now but still nice.
