What about a cheap Nitelite one ? Not as nice as a brass trit, but does the job.

Its nice but not sure it would satisfy my harajuku-like quality accessory needs

Indeed ! To be honest I'm surprised mine has lasted so long, plastic rubbing against plastic isn't the best combination. I'll get a nice brass or copper trit one day.

How many times has the trit actually helped you finding what you have it attached to? If more than five times I might get one

Couple of times on Scout camp while attached to a bag.

If I were you ? Wait and get a proper metal one, you know you deserve it ! It doesn't charge up with UV rays very well here in the UK
