The San Leo is a crowd pleaser and worth the extra two quid a bottle if Waitrose can supply that many at that price. Try it and see... save on the good scotch, the Uncles wouldn't appreciate it anyway. ;)

Got a bit of a cold AND I need to be up real early tomorrow morning..so I'm obviously drinking some whiskey tonight as I wade through stuff I need to wrap up.

Not tonight but.
I spent the weekend in Edinburgh and on Saturday afternoon called in at the Brewdog Bar on Cowgate. Having drunk a couple of pints of Punk IPA I noticed this. Its called Sink the Bismark it has a declared ABV of 41%. Brewdog claim it to be the strongest beer in the world.
It costs £6 per 25ml over the bar and that is a single shot.
To be honest I thought it tasted quite revolting.
At that price give me a single malt any time.
Sorry the photo is a bit out of focus but it been a long afternoon by this time.

Brewdog is awesome that dark ales and the punk IPA being my favourite! You going to try and make the CAMRA beer festival this year in London Steve?

Hi Avnish,
We are hoping to get to the Olympia festival in August.
Our intention is to attend on the Friday and make a weekend of it, spending the remainder of the weekend with our daughter who lives in Crystal Palace. Will see how my good intentions transpire !!!!
Are you intending to visit? if so it would be nice to put a face to the many posts and have a pint or two.

Hi Steve I'm off on the honeymoon till mid August, I tried to find out the dates early but to no avail. If it is anytime after the 10th of August I'll definitely be there (will let you know nearer the time) definitely have a third of a pint or 6!
Bit of advise, by Friday you need your thinking hat on as the highly touted ales are on limited reserve. I'll get the inside knowledge and report accordingly :)
