What are you drinking tonight.

I was given a few miniature bottles of malt whisky at the weekend so I had a glass of Glenfiddich 12 yo and Jura 10 yo last night. Not bad.

Still got Glenfiddich 15 and 18 yo to try ... 15 is better by all accounts and Jura 'Superstition' and 16 yo.

On a related note, my step-mum's Mum is very, very poorly ... she's 90-odd ... and my old man has found 'at least 25 unopened bottles of malt whisky still in their boxes' in a cupboard at her flat.

Obviously I wan't my 'Nan' to get better ... but he's earmarked them ... so I'll get them ... hopefully in 20 years when she pegs out base jumping or snowboarding or scuba diving. Gawd bless the old bird. I bet I bought her most of them!

I have recently inherited my Father in Laws malt whisky collection. I think I bought most of them.

Just in the process of kegging up and carbing some Weissebier, which I should be drinking later this evening. Enjoying a pint of New Zealand Pale Ale whilst doing so.

Tonight I will be out playing Pathfinder tonight and so will start on Koppaberg Alcohol Free Pear and after the drive home, I am hereby announcing my intention of slurping a glass of Lambs Navy with either a slice of fresh ginger or a squeeze of lemon.

Bought some Bombay Sapphire and some Hendricks Gin tonight, I think I may have to partake in a nice G+T tonight.

My favourite restaurant sells Hendricks, with a slice of cucumber, obviously.

Tonight i shall be having a few nips of Jura:icon_razz: the local co-op have it on special at £22 a bottle, yummy!!! I would much prefer laphroaig or lagavullin but jura does just as nice. Wife and kids at mother in laws, i have the stove blazing away while waiting on the Bath v Quins game coming on and i have a lovely malt to sip before jumping in for a nice three pass. I sure am a fan of the peaty stuff! Lagavullin is my favourite but a wee bit pricey so tend to keep it for special occasions. My other problem is not being able to put a bottle away. Once opened i find it very hard to put the stopper back in which is why i dont buy it too often.

Only ever done 2 brewery tours. One at Sarah Hughes in Sedgley. It was an impromptu one after an afternoon in the brewery tap. The brewer was top drawer showed me and a few lads round.I recommend their Dark Ruby Mild extremely highly. Strong and v drinkable. The other one was at The York Brewery. I always visit that place when up there.

Nightcap tonight an oakheart spiced rum.
