What are you listening to?

Many many years ago, in the wind burnt garden of The Wreckers in Sennen, we were serenaded by a visiting bike club from up Exeter Way with Robin Head. In return, we regaled them with The Hippies and the Hairies (which happens to have a 'Wind reference)

I've no explanation to offer as to why two disparate groups of bikers from the west country would know Fred Wedlock's songs pretty much off to pat.

I vaguely remember us all howling The Teddy Bear's Rave Up after that but, as with many such nights and compounded by the passage of nearly thirty years, I can't be certain about that.

Now I give up... I came on-line to write to a friend here, touched a couple of threads, composed the above and became sidetracked by trying to link Fred's song about Cheddar, net curtains and boring farts to a song title... (anyone?)

Nailbomb!

Back in the day, I bought the CDs (which I'm presently listening to) but didn't get on with it much at the time, what with me being a massive Industrial head at the time and Nailbomb were ... well, a bit ... metal. I think it was that Rhys Fulber was in the band that perked my interest - he's from Frontline Assembly, Will, et al.

Anyway, digging in the loft I happened upon a box of CDs ...

Some 20 years on, what a lot of fun revisiting all that music. Nailbomb proper grabbed me this time. Love it!!!

It's a short-lived collaboration between Max Cavalero (Sepultura) and Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel). I never really got Fudge Tunnel. I think it was one of those, "if you like Big Black, you'll like these ...".

This really works ... got me headbanging again :D
