What are you reading at the moment?

Currently reading an Biography of J.Edgar Hoover by Anthony Summers.

It is certainly well researched and the prose is good. I think that most biographies are written from the opposite ends of the "admiration" spectrum and it would appear that Mr Summers is very much out to debunk some of the myths that J.Edgar managed to weave around himself.

It also offers great insight (and some conjecture) as to how the FBI became the all powerful organization it was towards to end of JEH's reign.

Enjoying it....

Fluke by James Herbert, I remember reading this in my younger days whilst travelling up to Fort William in the back of a clapped out minibus. I missed most of the journey, trapped in the body of a dog with memories of my former life as a man.
If you haven't read it its well worth a read.

I've just started The Cruel Sea by Nicolas Monsarrat.

Corker! In my top ten quotes list for:-

"Il y en a toujours un qui baise et un qui tend la joue"*

It's a classic of it's genre and well worth keeping on your shelves.

*(edit) I might be misquoting I haven't got a copy with me but it's something like.

Onto the next:

Just finished: Stephen Hawking, My brief history.
I bought it after seeing the theory of everything film. Finished very quickly as its a short book.

Now onto Jane Hawking, travelling to infinity, which is the book the film is based on

I've got a few books on the go at the moment.

Have just finished the Hunger Games trilogy. Even though they're kids books I enjoyed them immensely and would thoroughly recommend them.

Am just starting this (big fan of the undead):

And have almost finished this. An excellent read. I often find myself laughing out loud at how blunt he is:
