. I got it off ebay, comes from Germany but looking at it now, you could probably buy a similar thing at Tesco.... It's a good size - 70mm x 120mm.I dig the colour though...

Yes, there's a few different bowls that they do. What appears to be a good bit of design which you can't see from a photo, is at the rim of the bowl it sort of curles inwards slightly. I guess that's so the lather stays in the bowl rather than slopping all over the place.That's what caught my eye, the colour and looks like the walls of the bowl look nice and thick. Was it sold as a lathering bowl? Thanks.

Sure. I don't always bowl lather but when I do, I like a bit of room to swing the brush around in. The TSR bowl was hopelessly too small. I've got a Captains Choice bowl but that's a bit on the small side as well.

A Razorock "Bruce" Plissoft brush. Just ordered from Shave Lounge.
This will be my first synthetic - when I was last active in the forums and buying bits a few years ago (I've had a break to try and work through the stuff I'd accrued ) - there were some synthetics around but they didn't seem to get as much good press as they are now. Are there any tips/tricks to be aware of?

What ho chaps,.....Currently awaiting Executive Shaving's water-soluble pre-shave.
My oil-based TOBS glued the bristles of my Kent somewhat,..perhaps I left too much on prior to lathering up.

Bought 100 Voskhod's a while back. A bit so-so for me. Had to change blades just now & use a Polsilver. Beautiful shave so pulled the trigger on another 200 from Gemstone. That makes 400 now. I'll miss these when supplies finally dry up, if that's really the case.

You will find that much better, I used a pre shave oil once it just messed up everything, brush, sink, the lot!
